This is, frankly, unbelievable. Denver was done. What are they doing in this game?
Who are these guys?
I know, I was really surprised to see them in this game since they got swept in the WCHA playoffs by CC.

Geez! Now I wish I was listening to the HOMERS. They pretty much said the game was over when tUMD scored goal #3.:p
They are rather subdued now, to say the least.

Must be all that coaching from Taras Lendzyk on how to open the 5 hole for the shooter.

Beautiful. I am a happy camper right now. Keep up the effort guys! The Avs brought their A-game last night... now it is DU's turn!

Idiots. They're not calling anything, it's not that the players aren't doing anything differently.

This is unbelievable...
Happened to us against Mankato a few series back...I think we were up by like 4 or 5 goals, and we lwet them back into it.

From a Western perspective, I felt that UMD had a great chance of winning the title and I would have been comfortable with them doing so. Somehow I don't see Denver winning on Saturday, so I was kind of grimly satisfied with UMD winning comfortably. I wasn't so enthralled, though, that I felt like logging into the score update thread to talk about it or anything.
It's just so much fun to watch Denver claw back, though, especially after Berkhoel saved their skin late in the second on that 2-on-0 that looks increasingly huge. This is a great game.
And while I don't see Denver winning on Saturday, I didn't see them beating NoDak or leading in the third of this game, either. Fact is, a number of weeks ago I barely saw them even in the tournament.
Duluth has collapsed on D. Look at Denver carve through them, as in that most recent scoring chance.

Some idiot (me) said in the waning moments of the first period he didn't see DU scoring 3 or 4. What a dolt he is. :)
This is a GREAT game for a neutral fan and it's great for our game.

On games this important, I don't mind if the ref puts his whistle away, as long as he is fair to both teams.

while i can certainly appreciate the pessimism about denver's chances on saturday, let's not forget that a hot goalie can beat anybody, anytime.

They look like Western on D out there.
Suze- McDonough was talking about the players "adapting their style to how the ref was calling things" They haven't adapted anything. The ref just put the whistle away.

Power Package = creepiest commercial ever. [/shudder]
I have nothing but sympathy for mothers of goalies.
Come on DU, let's get 1 more.
