Bob, I too imagine Arsenal losing to Lpool, but you may have a better chance watching Man City (hopefully beating) Wolves?

First of all, none of you know what happened or didn't happen. So far it is "a friend of a friend said...." idle rumour mongering which you guys seem quite happy to contribute to.
No, actually, she sold her story herself, and Posh knew about what was allegedly going on and that's why she got fired as Becks' personal assistant, and now she's taking vengeance for not being made permanent.
Go read the papers, Hobart, and stop being such a blind devotee.

But Wolves are my second favorite team!

Well, apparently Henry was at least halfway healthy today, as his hat trick helped the Gunners to a 4-2 win today against Liverpool. Looks like we could have an interesting split of trophies this year as Arsenal look in good shape to win the EPL, ManU should win the FA Cup, and Chelsea have a good shot at the CL. I think today's win gets Arsenal back on track and after sunday's game with Newcastle their fixture list doesn't look nearly as cluttered as it did a week ago, which will be a big benefit for Arsenal in pursuing the league title. I think Arsenal's smaller squad size was a real problem these last weeks, as when you're pursuing multiple trophies this time of year you need a larger squad like ManU and Chelsea.

Spot the inconsistentcy!
I don't expect Mensa candidates here, Badger, but I think you might want to reread your own post for a good laugh.
"She 'sold' her story....what was 'allegedly' going on....now she's taking 'vengeance' ". That all adds up to a reliable witness, doesn't it?
You guys are obviously following all of this much closer than I am, but it seems totally sketchy to me, and regardless of where the truth lies, it doesn't seem particularly earth shattering or even an abnormal occurance.l

Good day so far for Wolves, as they lead 2-1 versus Man City in a game they really have to get points from to stay within shouting distance of safety. Go Wolves!
And no sooner do I type this than Wolves give up a goal, so it's 2-2 now! :(

Final - Man. City 3:3 Wolves
Microcosm of the season for Wolves ... grabbed a 0:2 lead in the first 25 minutes ... gave them both back before halftime ... Colin Cameron blows a penalty midway into the second half, but Henri Camara scored at 77 minutes to put them up 2:3 ... and at the absolute end of the 3 minutes of added time, Sean Wright-Phillips nails one for City to divide the spoils. :(
That's twice in the last month that Wolves have lost points on the road in the 3rd minute of added time (at Anfield a few weeks ago on top of today). There is no avoiding the drop now ... :( :( :(

For a pampered, spoiled athlete to have sex with a woman who isn't his wife? Not abnormal at all.
But that doesn't make it right. It does, however, make Beckham (allegedly  ) an adulterous hypocrite.

Yup, stick a fork in Wolves, as they're done. So the Christmas hoodoo is true once again this year.
With Chelsea drawing, hard to see Arsenal losing a 6 point lead with a game at hand and not that tough a schedule. Arsenal's season has suddenly become very anticlimactic, as they are out of two competitions and the league race looks to be over.

Sorry 'bout bringing this thread close to a Beckham thread. Didn't mean to.
Don't mean to delight in your woes Chuck, but City might have just narrowly avoided regulation. Here's hoping that I am right.

Man City escaped with a point today, but Blackburn is in trouble. It would be an injustice of epic proportions if Blackburn got relegated instead of Leeds. I could live with Pompey pipping them, but Leeds is such a disfunctional outfit that they don't deserve another EPL season.

Let me ask you a question: if it were anyone else, would you be so kind as to say "oh it's just he said she said?"
You're blind. You're no better than a teen girl groupie whose favorite celebrity can do no wrong, even when he does.
Adultery is wrong, whether you're an average Joe/Jane or the most popular soccer player in the world. Get that through your head.
Celtic wins again over Livingston. :)

Gunners draw 0-0 with Newcastle on the road, which I can certainly accept. As disappointing as the last couple weeks have been, the Gunners can still do something noone else has ever done if they can avoid defeat in their last 6 EPL matches.

Well, you obviously know the truth of the matter, having been there and witnessed the entire affair. Everything anyone chooses to say about a celebrity must be true, otherwise they wouldn't be paid over half a million dollars to say it. Would they? After all, what would be the point in embellishing the truth for a mere half million?
We all know that YOU wouldn't do it, given the impeccable and sin free life you've led, despite the constant temptation of having gorgeous young women throw themselves at you all the time. Bad Becks, bad. Good Badger, good. Can you send out posters of yourself? Autograph one of your old T shirts, maybe?
This woman is selling her story for $650,000. Good work if you can get it. That is on top of the money she made while working for the Beckhams. Even assuming her allegations are true, that works out to $160,000 a session. Probably lots of women in the world who would pay that to boff Becks. By all accounts she had her lawyer, her agent, and all the other nasty accroutments in place well before she went public.

Aston Villa is up 3-1 on Chelsea in the 53rd minute. Chelsea scored first and then Melchoit gave up a dumb penalty and the floodgates have opened in the 2nd half.

Chelsea scores to cut the lead to 3-2, but the match ends shortly after. Aston Villa 3, Chelsea 2- Final.
Big win for the Villa, who should leapfrog over Blues (who are losing at Pompey 3-1) in the race for a spot in Europe. What's the cut line for the UEFA Cup again?
