United on cruise control.

Edit
United take full points 2 to 1

Encouraging result for Norwich. United were clearly the better side, but that's not a surprise to anyone. I thought that Norwich's defense did a good job responding to most of what ManU threw at them. After they brought on McVeigh, Mckenzie, and Doherty, Norwich actually created several very good scoring opportunities over the last 20 minutes. If Mckenzie's attempt had gone in (it should have!), i don't think that the point would have been undeserved. All in all, i feel like Norwich has a decent chance of survival if they maintain this form.

Ah ManU, the most over rated team in the known world.
I'd rather be a scouser. :p :D

Agreed. I watched the thursday Fanzone of the ManU-Chelski game and the ManU fan kept saying how ManU is never shut out, etc., but the fact is ManU have a lot of questions to answer and have been picked in certain quarters as low as 5th in the EPL this season. To me they simply don't have the players in the pipeline right now to plug in as their golden crop of 90s players get older and either move on or become less effective. As much as I dislike Real Madrid, I'd pick them in a heartbeat to win something this year over ManU.

Actually I was talking about history. ManU has been one of the better teams in England over the past decade plus, but their fanbase seems to have confused themselves with the AC Milans, Bayerns, Reals, Ajax's and yes, Liverpools of the world. I think Benfica has as many European titles - actually, they might have more. :p

I'll give them credit for being better than Rangers, but that's about it. :D

Sweet of you to talk about City that way. :)

Think Scotland's got problems for WC qualifying? They certainly didn't play well the other day.

Scotland's national team has been on a downhill slope for awhile and they just flat out aren't very good now. I recall when I was in Scotland a few years ago and there was an on-going discussion of why Scotland doesn't seem to produce top drawer players anymore.

As for ManU, they were relegated as recently as the mid 70s, unlike Arsenal, who have the longest top league run by far, having been there since 1919 when the league started back up after WW One.

What a game yesterday as Arsenal ties Nottingham Forest's 42 game unbeaten run. I didn't fork over the $30 for ppv, but saw the highlights. Arsenal up 1-0, then down 3-1, then up 5-3! And most goals were real crackers. Can't wait to watch the match wednesday night and fanzone on thursday.

Too bad FSW, in their infinite wisdom, have chosen to not broadcast the wednesday Arsenal-Blackburn match where the Gunners go for a new record. And it's not even being shown on tape delay to boot!

They showed a replay of Soton-Blackburn on FSN a couple hours ago, my gawd did Rovers get snowed! Souness had go ballistic when he saw the replay of that 'penalty'.

I was up early Saturday and saw that match live. That was a crazy ending. Blackburn certainly don't seem to have much luck in recent seasons. Nothing worse than a questionable at best penalty deciding who gets points. Of course then D'Urso, the ref, gets in trouble for failing to send off Barry Ferguson for two yellows! Sounds like he's in a bit of trouble for that!

Huh? I don't follow that one.

But the kid on the right is a Wolves fan, so he's gotta be a good kid! :D

1-0 Birmingham over Man City today at St Andrews on an early Heskey goal. Not really Keegan's fault, just blown chances.

Wouldn't it be wonderful if Wayne Rooney ended up on Newcastle instead of Man United or Chelsea? I'm kind of surprised that Newcastle can throw around the kind of money they are proposing to Everton. Their 20 million pound bid was rejected and they are now upping it. They just transferred Woodgate to Real Madrid(they took Real to the cleaners on that transaction), but his fee by itself isn't enough to land Rooney.
