And Monaco has grabbed a third goal to lead 3-1 and as it stands, Real Madrid is crashing out of the CL!
High drama at Highbury as the match is still 1-1.

Yeah, ELCA didn't tell me that part of it, about the tie going to Monaco on away goals.
If they can hold, this will be the shocker of the year. Madrid has some of the most household names in the game of soccer today, and Monaco, well, they're from a country that doesn't even have it's own league, they play in France. :D

Come on you gunners! (again, painful).
GO GO MONACO!
GO GO MONACO!

I'm guessing Real is missing Beckham today. It would be a big upset. Monaco is a very good team, but they're not even at full strength, as a number of players are out or banged up. Monaco is an odd club, playing in the French league and they don't draw many fans either. Plus they almost got relegated due to financial issues last year.
I just realized if this goes to extra time my tivo at home is only set to record to the regular ending time! Grrrr...... :(

Things go from bad to worse as Chelsea scores to take a 2-1 lead in the 87th minute.
Two games and it looks like Arsenal are out of two competitions! How quickly a season can turn. :(

Even if Arsenal scored once, Chelsea would be through on away goals. Two goals is beyond imagination. Well, now at least they'll be focused on the EPL.

AND IT'S OVER! Real has gone out!
I didn't realize Becks had been suspended from the last Monaco match.
Chelsea and Monaco in the semi-finals. Nice!
How the hell did Monaco put out Madrid?
With this and the fact that that Porto and AC Milan are likely to come out of the other side, I think it's definitely going to be Chelsea-AC Milan in the final.

WOW! IMO these were two shocking outcomes.
Looks like United and Arsenal are set to bring home the same amount of silver (though I'd rather have the EPL title)
I can't help but wonder what would go on if Millwall actually won that game.

Millwall fans riot regardless of if they win or lose. I read an article yesterday speculating that Millwall's entrance into the UEFA Cup could cause serious harm to England's reputation in Europe, as there's likely to be trouble at any Millwall game. And if they play somebody like a Turkish team, it could get really bad.
On the Arsenal game, while I'm deeply disappointed at today's result, on top of last weekend's result, I must admit I'm happy for Claudio Ranieri, who is a class coach who has been treated shamefully by Chelsea (read Roman). It'd sure be interesting if Chelsea won the CL and then Roman would have a tough time dumping Ranieri. But it seems that Roman may be set on dumping him regardless.
It's amazing how thin the line often is between success and failure in soccer.

Arsenal only have a 4 point lead in the EPL too. So if they respond badly to these back to back losses they could have problems there too. Their next two games are against Liverpool and Newcastle who are jockeying for points for the final Champions League spot. And that's followed by Leeds who may be facing a must win to avoid relegation. That's a trio of really dangerous games for a team that is suddenly struggling.
Wimbledon clinched relegation today. This outfit makes Leeds look well run.

Remember two weeks ago tomorrow? Arsenal had just got the 1-1 draw at Chelsea, meaning all they had to do to go through to the CL semifinal was keep Chelsea out in the return. They were nine points clear in the league, were the favorites to beat ManYoo and retain the FA Cup, and were the subject of much treble-related merriment.
Since then:
Arsenal 1:1 ManU. Gunners' lead cut to seven points.
ManU 1:0 Arsenal. Gunners knocked out of FA Cup.
Arsenal 1:2 Chelsea. Gunners fail to advance past the quarterfinal in Europe for the umpteenth consecutive time.
Nobody told me I was supporting the f#$%ing Red Sox here.
I remember writing a couple of weeks ago in this thread that I thought it still could all fall apart for Arsenal. This is exactly my nightmare. :(

That's good news by my ears. I pity Wimbledon's supporters, but their administration can all rot for all I care.
While I silently cheered for Arsenal today, you do have to feel good for Ranieri. You know Roman wants to boot him out of Chelski, but with the CL win today, Claudio's almost guaranteed at least one more year at the Bridge. Good for him.
Here's an idea, Bob, how's about UEFA treats Millwall like Maccabi Haifa (when they got into Champions League recently), and have them play their home ties on neutral ground? A Millwall home fixture would almost be welcome at Eastlands; maybe then those small-time terrorists would get the disrespect they deserve. Leeds are Cooke too, but I wish Millwall would just take a seat in Division Three and leave us alone to actual competition.
Hey Hobart, how about yer boy Becks? :D

If Man U's fall hadn't been as bad I would be laughing right now, but that fall sucked and I hate Chelski as much as Arsenal.

I say Posh and Becks are done before the end of the year. :D
I read some articles about this Rebecca Loos(e)--apparently she's a real forward kind of gal, supposedly had affairs with some top tennis players, and also likes women. She was supposedly mad she didn't get hired on permanently as his personal assistant and is taking revenge by going public.
But another article said more women could step forward saying they've been with the England captain...
And here I was convinced from his autobiography that he was so much in love with Victoria...:D
And you know who I feel sorry for? Brooklyn and Romeo.

I just read one of the stupidest things I've read in a long time. Roman is now claiming that Chelsea showed "Russian character" in beating Arsenal yesterday! Yes, all those Russian players on Chelsea I'm sure brought a Russian influence to their play. And those that weren't Russian certainly said "Our owner is Russian, so let's play like Russian players tonight, with Russian character"! What a pile of bunk! While I'm happy for Ranieri for the win, I'm getting the feeling that Roman is going to be really become more and more insufferable if they become more successful. Heaven knows what might happen if Chelsea do win the CL and/or overtake Arsenal in the Prem. He'd probably formally rename them Chelski in honor of their "Russian character"!
