Just trying to clarify how many folks are on the tUMD tBandwagon.

Not on Bandwagon. Just wouldn't mind seeing them skate away from Boston with trophy in hand. Almost the opposite scenario of the last time they were in the championship game (1984, they were ranked #1 in both polls) when they lost to the team ranked #3 in one poll and #4 in the other (BG). Since BGSU isn't there this year I might as well root for UMD.

Why the extra "the"?

The 't' stands for "the" - there's no need for the extra "the".

There was a discussion in a previous thread about whether the the was redundant. I opted for the parentheses to indicate that you can ignore it if you would like or include it if you would like.

Here are the reasons this Gopher fan will be cheering for UMD when I'm at the Fleet:

1. Keep the trophy in the West
2. Keep it in the WCHA
3. Keep it in State of Minnesota
4. Keep it in the University of Minnesota school system
5. Skating Cheerleaders (hopefully they'll make it)
6. The other teams have all won it. It's UMD's turn.

The only thing I won't do is use the "t".
