With the championship here what is the biggest goal you've seen in College Hockey?
We still don't have much to chose from here at UConn. I guess I'll call Natalie Vibert's 1st college goal which gave UConn a 2-1 lead at the time and was the lead for almost a period till halfway in the 3rd against Top 10 Mercyhurst. It helped earn the tie.
For those who've seen more let us know.
Nora Tallus' gamewinner last year was probably the most significant goal I've seen, but it loses something when you don't have a rooting interest.
I agree with ARM, it was probably the most significant goal I've seen.
However, to be the biggest it has to involve my team.
I think the biggest is Gwen Anderson's goal for the Gophers against Team USA. They were trailing 10-0 at the time and lost 10-1. There is no significance to the goal, but it was big. I believe it was the first goal the Gophers ever scored against Team USA. The next night, the Gophers lost to them 4-3.
If that doesn't count since it was an exhibition game, I would have to say Ronda Curtin's goal against Duluth in January of 2002. Duluth was trailing the Gophers in the standings and could use the points. Curtin's goal was the only goal of the game.
Those are my two biggest.

Definitely the most significant I've ever seen. Of course was on the wrong side of it...:( :( :(

The most significant Princeton goal in the time I've been watching them was Sarah Butsch's against Dartmouth in February of last year. It was a tie-breaker with just a few minutes left in the game, and insured the Tigers would finish third in the ECAC, which in turn enabled them to get to the ECAC semis.
Definitely not the biggest.. but one of THE best goals I've seen in women's hockey was Carolyn Oullette (one L or two?) maybe against the Gophers? She was being taken down in front of the net.. STILL received a pass and let a really wicked wrister go 15 feet in front of the net.. all well ending up on her back.
The biggest would be Tallus' overtime goal.. only cause it won the championship (didn't see the other championship winning goals live OR on tv).. wasn't pretty but it counts.

Tallus' goal was the most significant goal in what is arguably the greatest single women's game ever played. Forget "rooting interests" for a minute--Two teams stocked with world-class athletes playing into double overtime for a national championship--Does hockey get any better than that? (And yes--I was there  )
