With five minutes to go in regulation....
PROVIDENCE,RI
Holy Cross still leads Minnesota State 4-3, Tony Quesada has stopped 17 Maverick shots, many of the Providence faithful rooting for the team in purple.
HARTFORD,CT
Michigan State leads Wayne State 3-1, arguably one of more boring games in this tournament. A.J. Thelen gave the Spartans a 3-0 lead, WSU did get on the board with a goal by Travis Rycroft, the Warriors are holding hope but the clock is ticking
GRAND RAPIDS,MI
Mercyhurst still leads Western Michigan 2-1. lots of defense, low scoring and a little reminder of old time hockey.
DULUTH,MN
Minnesota Duluth leads St. Norbert 4-3, very close game considering it is 15vs2 match. St. Norbert wants to be like Princeton. Duluth doesn't want to be like Ohio State. Spencer Carbery tied the game at 3 but UMD countered with a Tim Stapleton shorthanded goal to give the Bulldogs that 4-3 lead.

HOw can we only be up by one goal, the tPenalty Box will not stand for this crap play, we might have to throw brooms on this ice on Friday if we win for the home sweep.

Here we are at the end of regulation
PROVIDENCE,RI
MINNESOTA STATE 4 HOLY CROSS 4
Brock Becker scores on a 2 on 1 and we're tied at 4 at the end of regulation. Frozen 64 rules will apply to decide a winner
HARTFORD,CT
MICHIGAN STATE 4 WAYNE STATE 1
no shocker here, Mike Lalonde scored his second goal of the game to seal the deal for the Spartans
GRAND RAPIDS,MI
MERCYHURST 2 WESTERN MICHIGAN 2
The Broncos have tied the game at 2. Vince Bellissimo gets thru a traffic jam for the game tying goal. This will be the third game, and the second in this segment to thru overtime Frozen 64 style.
DULUTH,MN
MINNESOTA-DULUTH 4 SAINT NORBERT 4
Andy Cote has tied the game for St. Norbert, we are tied at 4, could we have two #2 seeds toppled tonight? Three games in these series of games going to overtime, lets see what happens.

I do not know if i can take it, we are a team that plays well early but i am hoping that our #2 nationally ranked power play unit will come thru for us.

This team needs a gut check here, if they fall in this one i will cry, if we do come away with a victory, Coach Sandy will need to give these gentelmen a wake up call.

We Have Three Overtimes here....
PROVIDENCE,RI
Minnesota has a 5 on 4 for two minutes...Joseph had one shot but nothing threatening. Holy Cross will have its turn
GRAND RAPIDS,MI
Mercyhurst goes on the two minute 5 on 4. Does threaten early on but no dice, still 2-2. WMU will go on the offensive.
DULUTH,MN
Lots of controversey here in the DECC, St. Norbert fails to score in their two minute 5 on 4. UMD gets their turn soon.

4-4 at the DECC against a D3 team? Maybe if UMD's women's team suited up instead of the men!

the home teams have their turn in the first overtime
PROVIDENCE,RI
Holy Cross couldn't get their power play going and we are heading into the second overtime
GRAND RAPIDS,MI
61 seconds in, Dana Lattery pushes the puck into the net and Western Michigan beats Mercyhurst 2-1.
WESTERN MICHIGAN 3 MERCYHURST 2
DULUTH,MN
UMD manages one shot, and Caig hits it off the crossbar. When asked about St. Norbert's tenacity it was replied that they don't care for tUMD's drunken ways. still 4-4 going into the second overtime.

Two overtime games left....
PROVIDENCE,RI
It's over at the Donut, David Backes scores a shorthanded goal for Minnesota State...according to Frozen 64 overtime rules a shorthanded goal ends the game therefore Holy Cross is done.
MINNESOTA STATE 5 HOLY CROSS 4
DULUTH,MN
The Bulldogs get six shots in two minutes but no serious ones as the game is still tied at 4. Evan Schwabe went for the hat trick but the loose puck never crossed the line. St. Norbert gets a turn in the second overtime.

One Overtime game left....
St. Norbert on the power play in the second overtime, and UMD goes for the short handed goal to end the game....Czech shoots and is saved and the rebound by Williams just misses the net. St.Norbert doesn't get a shot in. We will go to a third overtime with St.Norbert starting off.

whew!!!!!! Boy, would I have gotten an earful from my boss if St. Norbert would have squeaked it out! I always rip on him for attending that school (only reason is it's in Wisconsin, and too close to Green Bay)! I'm can still trashtalk tomorrow!
Edit: Shoot! I thought Williams was going to bury it! I hope the Dogs have the legs.....

Onto to the third overtime...Tony Gow scores for St.Norbert and lead 5-4. The goal was scored 54 seconds into the overtime. Minnesota-Duluth will have 54 seconds to score. If they score they win, if they don't score, St. Norbert wins.

Ever been to St. Norbert's? All they do there is drink. Somebody is posing as the St. Norbert's hockey team!
Although considering the score, somebody is probably posing as the Bulldogs as well.
