With five minutes to go....
PROVIDENCE,RI
Alaska-Anchorage leads Northern Michigan by a score of 5-1, it seems that UAA's recent WCHA momentum has carried to the Frozen 64. Brandon Segal and Martin Stuchlik added goals for the Seawolves. It looks over here
HARTFORD,CT
Ohio State has tied Princeton at 5, Dan Knapp nailed a powerplay go with just over 5 minutes left and the tension at the HCC is intense, Princeton doesn't seem to be going away.
GRAND RAPIDS,MI
Saint Cloud leads Yale 5-1, the Huskies have mostly been playing around, Yale did manage a goal from Ryan Steeves but this one looks done here.
DULUTH,MN
Wisconsin now leads Vermont by a score of 5-1, Ryan Suter and Rene Bourque added garbage goals, the Catamounts managed to squeak one in by Jeff Miles.

We are set after one period of play here
PROVIDENCE,RI
After an early Maine goal, Plattsburgh made some noise with a 2-1 lead over the Black Bears. Todd Jackson scored early for Maine, but Plattsburgh came back with Joe Carpinone scored a power play goal and Chad Kemp went to coast to coast shocking Jimmy Howard, we've seen a 2 seed get eliminated what about a 1 seed?
HARTFORD,CT
Quinnipiac and Niagara are scoreless, this is a rarity in this tournament to be scoreless but it has happened. I'm sure someone will score.
GRAND RAPIDS,MI
Lots of action early on here, Notre Dame leads Canisius 2-1, the Irish true to their name came fighting. Aaron Gill started the scoring for Notre Dame, Canisius came back though, Joey Coccimiglio broke up the Irish defense and put the puck past David Brown to tie the game. Notre Dame not resting quickly retook the lead, Mike Walsh was at the right place at the right time to put it top shelf
DULUTH,MN
Boston University leads St. Lawrence 1-0 Sean Fields already with 19 saves has kept this a close game which many people are expecting. Ryan Whitney scored a short-handed goal to put the Terriers on top.

we are at the end of two periods of play
PROVIDENCE,RI
Plattsburgh, the #16 seed is holding on to 3-2 lead over Maine. Plattsburgh went up 3-1 late in the second period with a odd goal by Justin Rafferty, just before the period ended Maine countered with a breakaway goal Mike Lundin to cut the Black Bear deficit down
HARTFORD,CT
Quinnipiac and Niagara are tied at 1. There was no score until there was under three minutes left in the period when Ryan Gale got credit for a goal that was considered controversial but it was a goal. Rob Hammel tied the game for the Q with seconds left in the period.
GRAND RAPIDS,MI
Mike Walsh padded the Notre Dame over Canisius to 3-1, this goal late in the period proved to a breaker for the Griffiths who were outplaying the period but couldn't get anything past Brown.
DULUTH,MN
Saint Lawrence leads Boston University by a score of 2-1. The Saints scored early in the second period. Rich Peverly's wraparound tied the game. Everything was even all through the period until Jeremy Cornier pounced a rebound over Sean Fields shoulder to give the Saints the lead.

With five minutes to go....
PROVIDENCE,RI
Plattsburgh and Maine are tied at 4, this is really scary for the #1 seed. Joe Carpinone netted his second goal of the night to give Plattsburgh a 4-2 lead. Maine came back a minute later to tie the game off a rebound, Jon Jankus cut the lead to 4-3. Derek Damon tied the game with six minutes left.
HARTFORD,CT
Niagara has opened up a 4-2 lead over Quinnipiac. The Purple Eagles took a 2-1 lead on Chris Welch's goal. The Q tied the game at 2 off of Matt Craig's goal. The CHA champions pelted off two quick goals with Welch scored his second goal of the game and Joe Tallari added to that lead.
GRAND RAPIDS,MI
Notre Dame has extended its lead to 5-2 over Canisius. Canisius gave the Irish an early scare. It deemed appropriate for Billy Irish-Baker to score against the Irish. However, Notre Dame got two goals back with Tom Galvin and Aaron Gill providing the insurance goals for Notre Dame.
DULUTH,MN
Saint Lawrence and Boston University are tied at 2. This looks like its heading for overtime. Brian McConnell, the one responsible for the tie game.

With two periods of play under the belt, here's what we have
PROVIDENCE,RI
In an exciting twenty minutes, Holy Cross leads Minnesota State 4-3 after two periods. The Mavericks scored two goals in under a minute with goals by Rob Rankin and Shane Joseph. The Crusaders came right back with three unanswered goals by Tyler McGregor, Jon Landry, and J.R.Walker. Its very interesting here in this 12/5 matchup.
HARTFORD,CT
Michigan State is doing a methodical *** kicking of Wayne State, its 2-0 Spartans with a shot differece of 35-6. Mike Lalonde's power play goal is the only scoring in this period
GRAND RAPIDS,MI
Mike Kirby's goal off a rebound is the only scoring in this period, the Lakers lead Western Michigan 2-1 after two periods.
DULUTH,MN
After two periods, Minnesota-Duluth leads St. Norbert 3-2, a closer game than what we expected but the D-III teams have been quite a nuisance in the tournament thus far. Jason Deitsch tied the game at 2 but toward the end of third period. Evan Schwabe pickoff and 1 on 1 showdown led to his second goal of the game as the Bulldogs lead 3-2 after two periods.
