It is all over as Jeff Likens scores the empty netter. The Badgers will face North Dakota for the ticket to New York City.

Does this mean I have to get rid of the shutout streak comment in my sig?

At the end of one period of play

BOSTON
Denver leads Alaska-Anchorage by a score of 3-2. This was a wild period and the those who haven't been cuffed by the tan shirts at the Fleet Center have been in for a treat so far. The first part of the period has been dominated by the Seawolves as goals by Brandon Segal and Vladimir Novak gave UAA a quick 2-0 lead. But, Denver came roaring back with a power play goal by Max Bull to cut the lead to 2-1. The Pioneers got two goals by Matt Carle to take the 3-2 lead.

At the end of two periods of play

BOSTON
Denver leads Alaska-Anchorage 6-4 after two. Denver came into the period getting three unanswered goals and then started the period with three goals to start off the period and had a 6-2 lead at one point. Gabe Gauthier scored a power play goal to make it 4-2. Lukas Dora widened the lead with a drive behind the next and pushed it past Chris King. The Pioneers made it 6-2 on an odd man rush by Lukas Dora. The Seawolves made some sweeping changes including the goaltender as it appears that the clock is striking twelve on UAA. The Seawolves scored two goals late in the period to make it 6-4. Charlie Kronschnabel hit a rebound to make it 6-3 followed by Lee Green hit a one timer to make it 6-4 and we have learned that Adam Burkhoel will not start the third period. This is a wild game, stay tuned.

BOSTON
Denver still leads Alaska-Anchorage but now it is 7-6. UAA scored a third unanswered goal to cut the DU lead to 6-5 on a power play goal by Kevin Reiter. Denver regained a two leads off a beautiful play by Luke Fulgham, but a minute later the Seawolves made it 7-6 off a one-timer by Charlie Kronschnabel. More to come on this barnburner at the Fleet.

at the end of one period of play...

SAINT PAUL
North Dakota leads Wisconsin 2-0, this period has been dominated by the Fighting Sioux who are looking to give Zach Parise the proper sendoff as he heads for the NHL. Brady Murray got the scoring started in the middle of the period to give the Sioux the 1-0 lead. A penalty was called on Ryan Suter after the goal and the Sioux took advantage 32 seconds later, Murray struck with a goal just past Bruckler's glove. Still lots of hockey left.

End of two periods of play....

SAINT PAUL
Wisconsin has cut the North Dakota lead to 2-1. The only goal was a rebound by Robbie Earl that went through Jordan Parise's five hole. This has been a close game from top to bottom. Should be a good third period.

After one period of play

ALBANY
Michigan State leads Boston College 1-0. All the scoring thus far has been a Brett Peterson penalty which led to a power play goal by A.J. Thelen. Lots of hard checking thus far and a very entertaining game.
