Here we go into the fifth overtime...a shot by Novak and a save by McKee a rebound by Anderson and it goes over David's shoulder and into the net...we finally have a score with 22 seconds left on the Seawolves end of the period. The Big Red will have 1 minute and 38 seconds to win or lose this contest.

Wow. 17 goals in their first 2 games, followed by an inability to score, especially on the power play. Cornell's season in a nutshell! :(

I am a little upset in our performance in the tournament here this year, i hope that we can regroup and come back and win the frozen 64 next season.

At the end of one period play

ALBANY
Colgate and Boston College are scoreless at the end of one. Colgate is energized by the highly partisan ECAC crowd here in the Pepsi Arena. Boston College couldn't stop Colgate, they could only hope to contain them.

DETROIT
Miami started the first period with four goals and lead Merrimack 4-0 after one period of play. Matt Christie made it 1-0 RedHawks early on and then the rest of the goals followed by Marty Guerin, Geoff Smith, and Taylor Hustead. The MC has changed goalies for the second period as the Miami of Ohio leads 4-0

At the end of two periods of play

ALBANY
unable to withstand the hostile Albany crowd, Boston College trails Colgate 2-1 after two periods of play. Colgate blew by for two goals in the middle of the second period with goals by Rob Brown and Anthony Masotto. Boston College came back with a late goal in the second period as Brett Peterson shot a fifty footer past Steve Silverthorn. Good game here, Colgate leads 2-1 after two.

DETROIT
Miami maintains a 5-1 lead after two periods of play. Matt Byrnes did score early in the second to cut the RedHawk lead to 4-1 but a Taylor Hustead goal later in the period kept the Miami lead intact. Second goal of the game for Hustead and its 5-1.

With five minutes left...

ALBANY
Boston College has a 3-2 lead over Colgate. The Eagles scored two goals early in the third and an avalanche of Eagle pressure came on Colgate goalie Steve Silverthorn. Stephen Gionta and Ned Havern responsible for the goals in this period.

DETROIT
Miami leads Merrimack 5-2 after two periods. Brent Cough slided in a puck early the third but it hasn't been enough to keep the MC's cinderella hope's alive

At the end of one period of play

ALBANY
Michigan State leads Niagara 3-0. Everything was square until Colton Fretter hit a rebound for a 1-0 lead. A.J. Thelen hit a power play goal for a 2-0 lead for the Spartans and one more final blow was given by Chris Snavely with a one timer past to give a 3-0 lead

DETROIT
Notre Dame leads Western Michigan 2-1 after one period. The Irish started out with an early 1-0 lead courtesy of a Neil Komadoski put in. The Broncos came back to give Notre Dame a game of it. Mike Jarmuth went undefended and got it past Brown to tie the game at 1. Late in the period Komadoski got his second goal of the game up front and gave the Fighting Irish a 2-1 lead after one.

At the end of two periods of play

ALBANY
Michigan State leads Niagara by a score of 4-0. It appears that the momentum is lost on the Purple Eagles. David Booth widened the gap for the Spartans

DETROIT
Notre Dame expanded their lead on Western Michigan to 5-1. To a disapointing pro-Bronco crowd, the Irish scored goals with Rob Globke netting one to make it 3-1. But this game is the Neil Komadoski show he now has four goals netting the next two to put this out of reach.
