After two periods of play....

BOSTON
Denver now leads New Hampshire 3-2 after two periods of play. The Pioneers were down 1-0 but came back with three goals in a row. Brent Skinner hit a rebound to tie the game. Luke Fulgham put the Pios ahead. DU made it a two goal lead with the help of Lukas Dora. Right after the last Denver goal, UNH did answer back with another goal. Steve Saviano went undefended past Adam Burkoel to cut the lead to 3-2.

ST.PAUL
Providence trying to make a game of it but North Dakota has a commanding 5-1 lead after two periods. Stephen Wood scored in the first few seconds of the second to cut the Sioux lead to 3-1 and continued to press early but North Dakota got back to back goals later in the period from Brandon Bochenski and Nick Fuher to make it 5-1.

WMU is not a cruddy team, they are inconsistent. On any given night WMU can beat anyone, but they can lose to anyone also. Minn just happened to catch WMU on an on night instead of an off night and the result reflects that.

With five minutes to play....

BOSTON
New Hampshire has taken the lead again with a 4-3 lead over Denver. UNH scored two goals in the middle of the third period. Sean Collins scored two goals in 46 seconds for the UNH lead. This game has had many twists and turns thus far.

SAINT PAUL
North Dakota still leads Providence 5-1. Rumors are swelling about the departure of Zach Parise to the NHL, everytime he touches the puck, he gets cheered in hopes to have a hat trick. Parise has three shots, all easy saves by Bobby Goephert.

After One Period of Play

BOSTON
Cornell leads Alaska-Anchorage 1-0 after one period of play. Very tight defensive game thus far the only thing standing in the way of a scoreless time at the buzzer was a power play goal by Cam Abbott. The power play goal was ironic since the Seawolves went 0 for 3 on the power play but Abbott scores on the one Big Red power play.

SAINT PAUL
Wisconsin leads Minnesota-Duluth by a score of 1-0. Adam Burish slides a rebound past the pads of Reichmuth for the early Badger lead. This is a good game thus far with the fans very much split on who to root for.

At the end of two periods of play

BOSTON
Alaska-Anchorage has tied Cornell at 1. Very tight game and the Seawolves are up to the challenge. UAA despite being 0 for 6 on the power play managed to tie the game at 1. Chad Anderson slid the puck in the middle of the period to tie the game at 1. The Big Red are very loud and are keeping the noise going at an arena not known for its noise

SAINT PAUL
Wisconsin remains on top of Minnesota-Duluth 1-0. Brend Buckler has 35 saves already stopping all the chances the Bulldogs have. tUMD has made history by getting to the Sweet 16 by not outscoring both of their opponents are rather hoping to get an opportunity to be in the same position. More to come.

with five minutes to go

BOSTON
Alaska-Anchorage and Cornell are still tied at 1. This game has been owned by Chris King and David McKee, especially McKee who has been mostly unstoppable in ten UAA power plays. This may go overtime Frozen 64 style.

SAINT PAUL
Wisconsin still leads Minnesota-Duluth 1-0, Buckler has now stopped 45 Bulldog shots. Time is running out for tUMD can they perform another miracle.

Boston-Atlantic Semifinal
Cornell with a chance to win the game, a shot by Bitz save by King, Bitz gets his rebound and shoots it wide and the Seawolves clear it out. We're done with three overtimes, can't anything go right in Boston?

Into the fourth overtime and a penalty called on Alaska-Anchorage a holding the stick call on Stuchlik and Cornell will have a 5 on 3 for 45 seconds, the Big Red will have a 5 on 3, six shots and still no goals here on the fourth overtime. with a 4 on 4 in the 4th overtime, not much happening here, we will go to an unheard of 5th overtime with UAA starting the fifth overtime.
