Saint Cloud with 83 seconds to score or else their season is over the puck is a shot by Hendricks a save by Brown, He clears it near the Saint Cloud. It hits the boards but the Huskies are wondering why there's no whistle, the refs don't blow it because they are under power play rules, Notre Dame rushes, Gill with a shot shorthanded and SAVE....St. Cloud unable to rush the puck and its over!!!!
NOTRE DAME 3 SAINT CLOUD 2

At the end of one period of play

PROVIDENCE,RI
Cornell has taken it to Minnesota State with 3-0 lead, the Big Red not getting a NCAA berth has really charged this team to take no prisoners. Mitch Carefoot started the scoring with a 1-0 lead. Chris Abbott made it 2-0 Cornell and then Cam Abbott made it a 3-0 lead for the Big Red

HARTFORD,CT
Michigan State leads Sacred Heart 1-0 after one. The Pioneers charged by a small but loyal hometown crowed gave them momentum to start the game, eventually the Spartans took charge with a loose puck score by Ash Goldie. This could be a good one here between the 3 seed Michigan State and the 11 seed Sacred Heart Pioneers

GRAND RAPIDS,MI
the Western Michigan Broncos are giving the local crowed a game with a surprising 1-0 over Minnesota after one period. Paul Szczechura scored late in the period for the lead. It had been a very close game and the Bronco faithul are competing with the Gopher fans who made to the trip out to Grand Rapids.

DULUTH,MN
After getting a scare in the first round, the Minnesota-Duluth Bulldogs finally took the lead on their-in-state brethren Bemidji State 1-0 after one period. Nick Anderson scored with seconds left in the period to give tUMD the advantage thus far.

At the end of two periods of play

PROVIDENCE,RI
Cornell has really opened it up on Minnesota State, it is now 6-0 after two periods. Ryan Vesce made it 4-0 early in the second followed by a quick goal by Charlie Cook to make it 5-0. Pretty much being over, the Big Red added another goal to make it 6-0 by Shane Hynes.

HARTFORD,CT
Michigan State has opened it up on Sacred Heart, it is now 5-0 after two periods. Whatever homefan momentum here, is now gone. Three goals in a three minute period early in the second has virtually ended things here, goals by Adam Nightingale, Kevin Estrada, and Colton Fretter. Michigan State added one late in the second by A.J. Thelen.

GRAND RAPIDS,MI
Western Michigan has maintained a 3-2 lead despite renewed pressure by the defending Frozen 64 champions Minnesota. Paul Szczechura added his second goal of the game to make it 2-0 Broncos followed by a quick goal by Jeremy Cheyne to make it 3-0. Don Lucia was so frustrated that his hair was reported to be frizzy, I repeat frizzy. The Gophers came back with two goals at the end of the period. Tyler Hirsch cut the lead to 3-1 and a minute later, and Keith Ballard made it 3-2. The momentum has swung the Gophers way.

DULUTH,MN
tUMD with another last second period ending goal has made it 2-0 over Bemidji State. Nick Anderson scores his second goal of the game to make the difference thus far over the Beavers.

With Five Minutes Left to Play....

PROVIDENCE,RI
Cornell apparently has gone for the two-point conversion and leads Minnesota State 8-0. This has been a slaughter and Cornell has been one of the most aggressive teams thus far in this tournament. Charlie Cook has scored the hat trick and Shane Hynes recent goal has almost taken the wind out of the Ol' Lynah faithful.

HARTFORD,CT
David Booth has given Michigan State a 6-0 lead over Sacred Heart, unlike Cornell, it doesn't seem as if they are going for the two point conversion, a lot of fourth-line players gettting a lot of ice time here, two blowouts out east, what is going on in the west?

GRAND RAPIDS,MI
Western Michigan is maitaining a 4-3 lead but the Gophers have had the momentum over the last few minutes. The Broncos made it 4-2 early in the period from a Pat Dwyer goal, the Gopher scored a few minutes ago on the power play by Danny Irmen and the last few minutes, the whole play has been on the WMU end, should be exciting if the Broncos can pull the upset.

DULUTH,MN
Bemidji State has cut the Bulldogs lead to 2-1. The Beavers pounded in a goal by Jean-Guy Gervais. tUMD has had control in the past few minutes but this is close so far. Very energetic and less than sober crowd has made things interesting.

BREAKING NEWS FROM GRAND RAPIDS

The puck drops to start the first overtime, Paul Szczechura SCORES a hat trick, 11 seconds into the overtime. That was quick, when was the last time that happened in the Frozen 64, I don't remember but J.P. Parise, Zach's father scores an OT in 11 seconds back in 1975. Is there some sort of paranormal connection here? The Gophers have just 11 seconds to score otherwise...Western Michigan will advance to the sweet 16.

MORE OT NEWS...

GRAND RAPIDS,MI
Minnesota has 11 seconds to score...the puck is dropped, Vanek shoots goes off the crossbar and its over, Western Michigan advances.
WESTERN MICHIGAN 5 MINNESOTA 4

DULUTH,MN
A goal by Myles Kuharski 1 minute and 51 seconds into the overtime gives the Beavers a 3-2 lead. Bulldog fans should have some familiarity to this. tUMD has 1:51 to score, otherwise BSU will go to the sweet 16.
