5-8 Tourney

Who has some cash or sponsors for a 5-8 tourney. find the neutral site that will donate the facility or sponsors cover the cost. Then get a sponsor hotel to donate half of each teams rooms. Sponsors or ticket sales cover travel cost. Schools cover their meals at discounted rates provided by sponsor restaurants and bingo. UMD Wisco Mercy New Hamp or some other combo are all playing for pride and respect and an invite tourney championship like in Hoops. Is this legal? Could it get done? Would the schools play? Sounds like fun

"The women's hockey NIT"... excellent. I honestly know nothing about the logistics of the men's basketball NIT. Does anyone?

Why not just expand the women's field to either 6 or 8? With 31 current teams and RPI joining in '05, why not? There are 58 Men's teams, and they run a 16 team tourney. In proportion this makes sense. Yeah, money may be an issue. But it's worth a thought at least.

I liike the idea, but take Providence instead of UNH based on the tourney win in Hockey East. Give PC some credit for winning the tourney.
