I think we can all agree that Harvard, St. Lawrence, and Dartmouth are prohibitive favorites to make it to Schenectady. The Princeton-Brown series should be a doozy. Oddly, Princeton may have the edge being on the road, since they tended to play better on the road (12-3 versus 8-6 at home) and Brown struggled at home. I won't be able to go (the 3:30 start-times make it even more difficult), so if anyone is in attendance, please make sure to post your update and comments.

Question of the Day: Why does Princeton have more fans on the women's board (1) than they do on the men's board (0). In fact, I don't think I've ever seen a Princeton fan on the men's board in the 4 years I've been paying attention to ECAC thread.

I don't know for sure, but it might be because Princeton's mens team hasn't been that good for a few years.

I wouldn't say that Dartmouth is a prohibitive favorite to make it to Schnectady. Yale gave Harvard all they could handle last Saturday and Sarah Love came up huge. If she plays that way against Dartmouth, they will have their hands full.

That's because Hahvahd sucks.
(comeon, if you're gonna lob the easy ones out there, I gotta take em.)

If any of Harvard, SLU, or Dartmouth takes more than 2 games to reach the Capital District, that in and of itself will be an upset.

The only compelling first round series is in Providence.

Still.. if you play the best you can possibly play (the way Yale did), and your goaltender suddenly goes into a trance and starts channelling Dominik Hasek, and you STILL lose... you're definitely the underdog.

Not to minimize what Yale's done, though. If they improve the way they have this season from last and over the course of this season, they'll make things much more interesting in a year or two.
