Not trying to jump the gun here, but Dave have you heard anything about televised broadcast of ECACs @ Union?
Should we be "cautiously optimistic"?

ECACs are listed on the Harvard broadcast schedule here:

so I'd be very optimistic.

It's my understanding the Yale student radio crew who does men's hockey has been asked by the ECAC to do the ECAC women's tournament, and that the feed will be provided to all ECAC schools who don't bring their own crews as well as being webcast somewhere.
Can't remember where I heard that, but there was some article about Yale's radio guys that mentioned that tidbit I think.

OK, it's going to be on CN8 cable (not NESN) apparently.

I don't know Ron that much, but I know Will from working together with him this summer. He's the sports director at Yale's radio station, and makes it his business to know the teams that his department is responsible for. Yes, he mostly does the men's team, but he is very professional and should do quite nicely.

Cool. I mean I hope for the best, of course. Too many men's-only announcers I've heard spend too much time drawing comparisons with the men's game and not respecting what's going on the ice. Also know that covering the Women's Frozen Four will be a far greater challenge than covering the ECAC tournament if these guys have little experience covering women's hockey. That means a lot of reading, a lot of interviewing, a lot of getting background knowledge. I think the CSTV guys did that and did a pretty solid job for the most part. Most important though is just that they just have to respect all four teams on the ice, wherever they're from.
