Beats Tech chicks. Nothing worse than a chick whose way smarter that you but as ugly as your dog's butt.:D
Sorry Doc but I knew you then at LSSU and you would be lucky to get one of those Tech girls you are talking about.:D  Guess who?
Hmmmm....Lssu17......Like talking to a brick wall, huh???

How many games were the Lakers totally embarrased this year? Sure, a few times. UNO spanked them good early, the second game at UM was pretty painful, and a weekend shutout from Northern wasn't pretty. But overall, the Lakers were IN almost every game this year. They weren't the joke of the league, they earned respect wherever they went. Did you ever read what opposing coaches said about us the week after they played us? It was all VERY complimentary and they were always very happy to get out of a weekend series with us with any points they could.
This is an excellent point, Mogerfan ... something that early on I worried would be overlooked when all was said and done regarding the season (since only w's, l's and t's are actually documented). But, you summed it up quite nicely, and it's obvious that people HAVE noticed that the Lakers were IN almost every game.

And you're right, I wasn't real picky at LSSU.:D

Hey, I just called him K-Wall because you did.

Actually, i referred to him as k- HOLE, not k-wall.. once again.. another near miss.
a thing on the lake state women. If a girl there is hot enough to have a go around with, shes prolly gone around... a lot.. like a hotdog down a hallway, as they say...

Yeah, Maybe I should wear my glasses when I'm on this thing, huh? Did you hear that K-blow the game-ski is 8th in the Hobey voting? ***?
As far as the other comment, well that's just borderline crude.

I'm looking forward to a sweep this weekend, with the Lakers finishing off the season with a 12 game win streak.

thats a nice thought about the lakers winning it all but if I am going to have a fantasy like that,I would rather it be me hitting the lottery
Any Laker fans going to the NCAA Midwest Regional at Van Andel Arena in Grand Rapids in 3 weeks???
I'd be happy with a split this weekend. It's been a long time since the Lakers have swept anybody, but I'm not sure they are strong enough to do that quite yet. On the other hand, they are definitely overdue.

I wasn't a traditional student (much older) and my wife almost beat the crap out of you once. Good thing for you I was there.

Ok. I got it now. The wife clue gave it away.
I was an obnoxious jerk then, wasn't I? Well at times I could be.
How're you guys doing?

lakers sweep this weekend and jeff gets a great weekend and ends up best in league
Would love to see it, but they still have to show they can do it on the ice tomorrow night. They are definitely overdue for a sweep. The question that will be answered tomorrow is whether this Laker team is ready to do that.

Jeff finally gets a shutout and win in the same game.....way to go Jeff. Sounds like the Lakers were able to shut down ND most of the game. I think if they can slow them down again they can pull it off. I hope Matt can step it up over the summer. It would be spectacular to have a one two punch of Jakaitas and Violin next year.
Last home game ever for the seniors....may not mean much for Kruekel but for the other three I think it will be special... I look for the team to come out strong especially Branham being captain and all.
GO LAKERS!!!!!!!!
Oh and good job to Francis Anzalone on the play by play....he should do it every game....Hes very good.

Congratulations Lakers!! Woo-woo ... a great shut out for Jeff Jakaitis, and well-deserved too!!
The amazing thing about this game was the lack of whistles ... no penalties for either team! Is that a school record or something? I realize the Lakers take very few penalties and that Notre Dame has God on their side ... but, c'mon ... this was weird. Anyways, between the fact that there weren't any students (or very few) at the game due to spring break ... there was no pep band ... and the refs barely blew the whistles during the game ... the atmosphere in the Taffy was eerie!! It was almost quiet in some respects ... kinda felt like we were watching a scrimmage or something.
In any case, the Laker's did an excellent job ... Jakaitis rocks ... let's see if we can do it again tomorrow night!!!
GO LAKERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Congratulations to Lake State. You guys just saw up close and in person a 60 minute example of why Poulin HAS GOT TO GO. No other team in college hockey can sweep Michigan than go play a team they haven't lost to in about, what, 4 years, and get freeking shut out. I'll tell you what, if Anzalone was coaching Notre Dame instead of the Lakers, this Irish team wouldn't be clinging on to mediocrity like Homer Simpson to a donut. They'd be watching MSU and Michigan spliting 2 points knowing it would be helping their chances of winning the league. I know Lake State deserves credit for the win, but at this stage they've only got pride to play for. 11th place was a lock for them. And don't you ALWAYS have pride to play for? Notre Dame may yet finish 4th in the league with a win tomorrow. Or yet more likely Lake State will come back to get the sweep. This team hasn't swept a CCHA series since December 2000, when guess who -- Notre Dame -- came to town. They haven't won 3 in a row since that same season either. Well tomorrow that'll all likely change. Hopefully when you're breaking out the brooms you can do me a favor and sweep the biggest underachiever in all of college sports out the door as well...

I do agree with you Irishhockeyfan in that Notre Dame has grossly underachieved during past six years or so. I do not know who to blame if not the coach?
Give LSSU alot of credit though. They may be an eleventh place team on paper but they are no longer playing like an eleventh place team. If they continue playing the way they have, with Jakaitis doing his best impersonation of Martin Brodeur, then don't be shocked to see this team shock their first round opponent.
