This was reported in a story by the PC men's beat writer which dealt with their schedule for next year.
Obviously it might have some relevance here
From the Woonsocket Call 2/23/04 Article is by Travis Barrett.
The only caveat to the Friars' non-league plans, of course, is the status of Vermont. Though the Catamounts aren't officially slated to join Hockey East until the 2005-06 season, there is concern that the ECAC (Vermont's current home) won't wait that long to make changes to its own schedule.
If Vermont gets the boot as a lame duck from the ECAC, expect Hockey East to usher the Catamounts in quickly -- and drastically alter everybody's current 2004-05 non-league slates by forcing the nine current Hockey East teams to have to add at least two and possibly three more league contests.
