Must win series for the Mavs. The Beavers are coming off a rough sweep from UMD where they didn't score a goal and gave up 14 of them. The Mavericks are coming off a split with Ohio St. (4-1, 0-2). When MSUM & BSU met up earlier this year in Bemidji the Mavs swept in two low scoring games (2-1, 3-1). The Beavers outshot the Mavs in both games, but once again Vogt kept them in check. This isn't the time to overlook an opponent. If the Mavs truely want to rise up to the level of contender, they have to beat the teams they should beat. Especially on their own ice.

If I'm coaching, I give Brinkman a start. You don't want her to go into the summer with the loss to Findlay being her last memory of the season, if she is going to be your #1 next year.

Okay, but shouldn't we ask Jason first?:D

Good catch. I meant Laura Brennan. And by all means, Coach Vizenor can have some input into this decision. Wise guy.

Wise Guy??? ME??
I was just trying to let you know:
a) I pay close attention to everything you post,
b) I can still find something to laugh about this season.

I'm pretty sure Vogt will start friday, and depending on how that game goes would decide if "Yo" gets the start saturday to get some experience for next season. BTW "Yo" is Laura's little nickname, how cool is that

Mavericks and Beavers tie 2-2 on friday. And the Mavs lead today's contest 1-0 so far in the 1st period (Nichols from Salatino)

1-0 Mavs after one period. Mavs had to kill off a 5-on-3 and random other penalties throughout the period. One of the Beavers took an extra swipe at Vogt and, very un-Vogt-like, Shari got up and gave her a shove. And of course since Solberg wasn't on the ice Jensrud came over and gave the BSU player a shot. Old time hockey :D BTW the goal was scored by Devon Nichols with assists to Jensrud and Salatino I believe.

sorry USCHO wasn't working for me there. 4-1 final, Mavs win, they got a empty net goal too.

31 saves for Vogt, killed off 8 penalties. Goals from Nichols, James, and two for Hainrich.
