Does anyone know who won the Midwest Elite Girls Hockey League. Thier website said playoffs were to be in Detroit on Saturday at Joe Louis but I found it interesting that I was watching the Red Wings get creamed by Colorado at Joe Louis at the same time. I was wondering how the Ohio Flamin' Flames fared. I know they had beaten Honeybaked and Ceasars both.

I don't know who won 19U but according to the schedule the Ohio Flames did not make the playoffs. The teams listed were the Minnesota Thoroughbreds, Madison (WI) Capitols, Little Caesars of Detroit, Washington (D.C.) Pride, HoneyBaked, Team Illinois or CYA, Shattuck-St. Mary’s School (MN), and the Wisconsin Wild. The Thoroughbreds were the regular season league champions.

Honeybaked won the 16U level beating the Chicago Young Americans 1-0 in the championship game.

I spent the weekend in detroit at the MWEGHL playoffs. Some great games and some talented players. Huge upsets early in the tournament made it even more exciting. However in the end it was my beloved SHATTUCK for the second year in a row accepting the banner. Shattuck beat the Wisconsin Wild 2-1 in the champioship game.. Honeybaked and the thoroughbreads were upset real early in the tournament. Third was Ceasars and fourth was Team Illinois.
