Where is Clarkson vs. St. Lawrence...you are missing one of the all time historical match ups in all of college hockey. I am pretty disappointed that noone called to put SLU and the Golden Knights in this poll. SLU has won the last 4 straight at Appleton arena, where is the love here!

Clarkson - St.Lawrence

Ten miles is never enough space between these North Country rivals.

Not with DU v CC. If we went 0-fer in the WCHA and swept CC both series it's all good! I guess Minnesota fans think that they are the center of the WCHA universe...

If you'll forgive the excursion to foreign climes, I'd like to throw Oxford-Cambridge out there as the oldest college hockey rivalry. Hell, one of the oldest existing hockey rivalries.
Now that would be a fun game to watch. I'd probably learn something too!

Also I will not vote in the poll as UAA vs. UAF is not on it.

It's true that for many schools in the WCHA that UMN is the big ticket game. For UMD, MSU-M, SCSU, UND, and UW, Minnesota is arguably their biggest rival. The Gophs can't go into every series actually thinking it's a big rivalry, that would detract from the connotation of the word "rivalry." They do have a big footprint in the league, but they don't completely control it. Obviously, DU and CC have their rivalry, UAA has UAF, and MTU has NMU (not to mention UMich and MSU in the GLi).

That said, Tech and UMN used to have a great rivalry a long time ago which has almost completely been forgotten. Back in the day of Esposito and through the 70's. Including 1974-76 where they met each other in the national championship game all three years in a row. I doubt that happens very often in ANY sport in ANY league. It would've been fun to be around to see that.

For me it's UAA vs. UAF.

Overall though, I'd give it a toss-up between Michigan-MSU and BC-BU.
