One other note - is it just me or has this board been even more dead than usual since mid-December? Is everyone taking extended winter vacations? The pre-College related posts seem to be the majority on this board as of late... I'm not criticizing anyone for making such posts or that I wish their fewer such posts. I just wish there was actually more discussion about college hockey games, in particular D-I!!! C'mon, it's the biggest D-I weekend of the year, by far. Step up and say something.

Dave - it may be that some of the posters are not on campus or attending games during the college hiatus. However, there does appear to be less 'real info' on how teams are performing and the progress (or lack thereof) from week to week. It doesn't seem there are as many comments regarding hockey east or ecac as there were last year esp. the UNH and PC folks. Hope there is more in the future.

dave, I can hardly wait until the Harvard - Dartmouth game! The date has been circled in red on the calendar for awhile now.

For me, I have not much to add to the "who is better" discussions, but I sure learn alot from all of you. I am not worthy

less than 48 hours to go.....

And how about Cherie Piper for Dartmouth ? Is she expected to play this weekend ? From all I've heard, I'm very much looking forward to seeing her in Minneapolis later this year.

none that I know of... we'll have a pretty good idea by Sunday since both teams have games Saturday.

My Mavericks are out east playing the Huskies from UCONN. It's hard for me to say much about a team I know nothing about. But every game is crucial from here on out, so I hope the Mavs come home with a weekend sweep. What a GREAT year it's been so far. On a side note...Shara Vis, I'm calling you out. You started the season with such promise and haven't done much lately. You've got the size and skills, let's make something happen this weekend.

Fly to Chicago to watch mens Lake Forest-St Norbert and on to Boston on Sunday for the Dartmouth-Harvard barnburner.

I think Piper won't play but there will be NO EXCUSES from either side. From this corner I'm hoping it's a preview of the FF final. Hopefully Dartmouth won't be overconfident from meeting H in the preseason scrimmage. GO Big Green.:D

Hopefully Harvard won't be overconfident knowing how badly Dartmouth got spanked in its first four periods against UMD. :D

Some finals...

2-1 Princeton over Colgate. Red Raiders once again show they really have the ability to limit teams' offense.

5-2 Minnesota State over UConn. Impressive offensive showing for the Mavericks against a team that's been pretty tough to score on this year.

1-0 St. Lawrence over North Dakota. Barrie stops 23 for shutout. Russell game winner on PP.

Minnesota State gets the sweep today with a 4-0 victory over UCONN. Shari Vogt 30saves, now on the season 11-4-2 1.98gaa .941sv% not too shabby. The Devon, Salty, & Kate line continues to be a force as well.

According to the Clarkson-North Dakota box score from yesterday, there were only two shots on goal in the third period - BOTH North Dakota goals. So neither goaltender made a save the entire period???!!!

Glad to see message board traffic has picked up exponentially since I started this thread.
