Is there anyway those girls can come on at break, they could surely use the scoring punch right now. It will be fun to watch them next year in purple and gold, with the 18 skaters that are freshman and sophomores and the addition of 5 good recruits they could finally start putting the puck away and winning some of these close games. Should be an interesting weekend in Mankato with the Badgers in town. GO MAVS
If your offense is struggling, the Badgers' bus is one you don't want to see roll into town.

Amen to that!!
The article brookyone posted says that North St. Paul and South St. Paul play for the first time this year on Tuesday. Does anyone know where that game is? The MSHSL site just lists the opponent, not the location, on each team's schedule. That has to be one of the better rivalries going right now in Mn girls HS hockey.

The game is at Wakota Arena @ 7:30 PM. On the MSHSL web-site on the individual team page at the bottom of the Schedule you will see "Full Schedule". Double-click on that and the next page will give you more information.

Updated scoring leaders...the top group tightens things up a bit...

Stillwater's #14 making her move with a large jump upward in the last week...this is clearly a bias remark.

Anybody see the Syracuse Stars vs. Northwood game this past Saturday. Ended in a 2-2 tie. I hear it was one of the best games of the season. Anyone have any info on the game.

Cloquet beat Eastview 5-2 and play Greenway/Grand Rapids schools (the 2 teams combined this season) before heading to the Schwan's Cup.
Cloquet's first Opponent in the Schwan's Cup is North St. Paul the 27th.. Stillwater and Benilde are also in this "blue" bracket that plays at Ridder and Mariucci. Screw my family.. I don't wanna go to Kansas for christmas now .. I'd rather stay in the state and go watch this instead :D
IF anyone hasn't found them the brackets are at http://www.superrink.org/schwan_cup/schedules.html they're in .PDF format

Seems like most of the posts here have to do with Minnesota girls high school, but back here in the northeast there will be Prep School tournaments at several schools. Competition should be good.

SSP administers a 6-1 thumping to NSP tonight. That Maverick line is something to watch. Gopher coach H in attendance...watchin' the three that got away...and the one that better not. ;)

WOW.. 6-1? holy chit  how many points for "THE" line?
According to the Strib, Fisher had 2 goals, Young 2 assists, and Nelson 1 & 1. Bloemers and Bauerfeld had nice games with 2 g and 3 a, respectively.

Here's a recap of the SSP / NSP game. If SSP consistently plays as they did in this game they'll be very tough to beat. Some think NSP is overrated...I dunno, haven't seen enough top teams to make that judgement. I know in this game they did not play nearly as well as they're capable of.
