Mercyhurst controlled the 1st period allowing basically a breakaway shot for Maine but not much else. Mercyhurst outshot Maine 13-4. Bendus clanks one of the crossbar late in the period to almost put the Lakers ahead. Hosier in goal for the Lakers.

Mercyhurst should be winning this game 8-0 by now. Cockell just got a 5 minute and a game misconduct for checking from behind. The Maine goalie should sleep well tonight as she seems to be making a save every 10 to 15 seconds.

Shots on Goal in the period were 22-2 in favor of Mercyhurst. Turgeon single handedly keeping Maine in the is game. I have to wonder how long Maine can keep this up. Agosta off the crossbar :45 into the 2nd period. Just the way things are going today.

This game should have been 12-0. Good job Maine for keeping it respectable on your part. Turgeon had Agosta's number tonight. She stoned her 4 or 5 times when she had no business doing so. Deserved her number one star and National Player of the week if she can duplicate the same performance tomorrow.

She is a defenseman, where else would you expect her to play? :p
Switching it up today (and yesterday as well), Miss Prough, playing right wing (http://collegehockeystats.net/0708/boxes/wmnemrc1.o06)...
