* Scouting Mercyhurst: For the 11th straight week, the Lakers held on to No. 1 in the USCHO.com and USA Today/USA Hockey Division I polls, but the Lakers lost first-place votes and points to runner-up and defending national champion Wisconsin (29-1-4) in each poll. ... Mercyhurst concludes its regular season this weekend. ... The Lakers clinched their fifth straight College Hockey America regular-season championship last week with a two-game home sweep of Wayne State. ... Mercyhurst has a 20-game unbeaten streak (19-0-1) and has won nine straight since a 3-3 home tie against UConn Jan. 19. ... With their 3-1 and 4-2 home win over Wayne State, the Lakers extended their unbeaten streak against CHA opponents to 35 games (32-0-3) dating to March 2004. ... The Lakers finished the regular season with a 16-0-2 home record. ... Mercyhurst is 12-1-0 on the road and 1-0-0 on neutral ice this season. ... Sophomore forward Melanie Mills was selected CHA offensive player of the week. She had three goals against Robert Morris last week, including the game-winner in the 2-1 victory. Mills is tied for fifth on the team in scoring with 14 points (six goals, eight assists). ... Niagara is strong in goal with senior Allison Rutledge, who is 10-17-5 with a 2.62 GAA and a .916 save percentage. ... The Purple Eagles are led by sophomore forward Ashley Riggs with 28 points (11 points, 17 assists). ... Freshman forward Mary McKinnon and junior defender Shannon Moulson are tied for second on the team with 18 points apiece.
