MIC The Laker radio schedule says it is brodcasting this game but it doesn't appear to be true. Whats up with the radio station this year -- very poor coverage of the woman's hockey. This seems to be a regular occurance -- they scheduile it but do not broadcast it? By the way -- thanks for the updates

End of the period with Mercyhurst trying to get a goal in past a stickless goalie and defenseman. Horn blew just as the puck found a Laker all alone in front of the net. Shots on Goal Mercyhurst 15 NH 10.

Real short assessment of the first period. Mercyhurst,IMO, didnt play very well in the first 10 minutes of the period. Shirley's goal was sort of fortunate since the puck came off the back board and the goalie Bourdon kicked it towards the goal, unknowingly, and Shirley was right there to poke it in. Good saves by both goalies so far.

SAJ- I talked with LakerFan and he told me he wasnt sure why they aren't broadcasting the game. They have been doing this all year apparently.

NH just had a good scoring opportunity when a puck went right through the crease but no one was there to poke it home. 14:33 left in the 2nd.

Although Mercyhurst is clearly dominating this period NH just had two more great opportunities but failed to get it past a hot Desi Clark.

Period ended with the Lakers up 2-1. Shots on Goal for the period were 9-6 in favor of Mercyhurst. Good scoring chances for both teams but NH had the better chances. Mercyhurst had the edge in controlling play but NH is hanging tough. Its going to take a very good 3rd by Clark to win.
