Lakers Fan- Do you plan on going if Mercyhurst makes it and has to travel to Minnesota?
We (the family) would like to go. The youngest member of the family, Isaac (age 19 months), makes the trip interesting. I can't imagine missing Mercyhurst's first NCAA apperance by the women's team because they happen to be playing in Minnesota. We are going to try.

If indeed you do go to play the Rodents I might even consider coming down (from Duluth) to see it. I've never seen the Lakers play. Almost needless to say, but I'd be cheering for the big upset. With a bit of a sly smile I'd also say - welcome to the "Big League" at the top of women's hockey.
Hope you make it!!!

Yea baby. You guys just keep looking past this weekend. Hey, why not buy your tickets now! Don't let the fact that Lakers beat Warriors only 2-1 and 4-1 this year compounded with an recent haunting memory of a 14 shot 3-0 loss to a much weaker Colgate stop you. You know a tie with a 21st PWR ranked Wayne State just might slip you all below Providence and New Hampshire and outta the great eight all together! :D

I thought today's game would for sure be on the MC radio, but no such luck.
How are our girls doing?

Boxscore shows a 5-0 win for the Lakers.

Score was 5-0. Sorry I couldnt update during the game as the computer I use has seen better days. Absolutely dominating performance by the Lakers. When Marchese scored the goal with :24 left in the second the Warriors bagged it. Hosier in goal and had nothing really to stop. Defenders did an excellant job of keeping WSU on the boards with the puck and couldnt mount any offense at all.

GO LAKERS!
Does anyone know if tomorrow's game will be broadcast? Especially since it's Seniors' Day.
I hope they broadcast the game but I won't be too surprised if they don't. Wonder why they do not cover as many games this year as the games just keep getting better? I guess they must get a lot of support money from opera buffs?

Yeah, saj, you're probably right. But it sure is disappointing when the games aren't broadcast. I would think there would be way more hockey fans than opera listeners!

does anyone know how the game is going?
it's not on the radio again today ...
sorry Blondie -- Haven't heard anything yet. MICZamboni must be busy or having problems with his computer again.

thanks anyway, saj. Man, this is frustrating. I even phoned the athletic department hotline, but all you get is yesterday's scores for all varsity teams. The game should just about be over, I guess.
Don't think the game is over yet. Usually about 2 hours long. I should be hearing something soon -- I'll let you know when i hear

Thanks for the info, saj. You're faster than the official website!
Wow - quite a difference in shots on goal, eh?
Wayne State just wasn't firing very many shots - fewer today than even yesterday.
Go, Lakers!

Congrats to the Lady Lakers. I know the Lakers wont go to Harvard unprepared.
I think if the Lakers play with confidence and dont play scared they will do fine.
I noticed Natalie Payne in attendance. It was a good thing that she got to experience with the team a championship. Good things to come from Natalie I understand.
Keep rolling Mercyhurst!!!

So, MIC, are you going to watch the game against Harvard next Saturday?
If so, I hope you'll take with you all the best wishes, prayers, and cheers from all of us fans who can't be there. We will be listening to the game, though! I assume someone will broadcast it ... ?
Exciting times for the Lady Lakers!!!
