1. Plattsburgh (didn't hurt themselves with the tie)
2. Manhattanville (did themselves some good in past week)
3. Elmira (played tough but not #1 now)
4. Middlebury ( a win over Elmira would have vaulted them)
5. Stevens Point ( a win in platty or Elmira would have had them at 2 or 3 but great showing for a road team)
6. Bowdoin
7. RPI ( may be a step behind the leaders, we'll see when they play M-ville)
8. Utica
9. Superior
10. St. Thomas

Also looked at RIT due to record both losses to top teams however, have not played many 'good' teams. The wins over UMass Boston and Neuman may be solid wins over middle of the pack teams but a win over Hamilton could have pushed them up in my mind. Upcoming 11 games vs. So. Maine, RPI, NEC, M-ville, Holy Cross and Utica will tell the story.

I'm a bit surprised sportsfan and P&G ranked Utica over RPI since RPI beat Utica but it may be that Utica is getting stronger and RPI has peaked.

15 ballots are in so far and you still have well over 48 hours to get yours in too as the deadline is still a little ways off at 7pm Friday. We've got some big shakeups developing so far in the poll and that was expected after "The Week" concluded....come keep those votes coming folks!!

Just incase anyone is wondering a local writer put a story in the Press Republican in Plattsburgh about how and why the women are the real number 1. Too bad it is not on the net.

after "The week" the poll as expeceted has shaken up bigtime and for the first time ever Elmira is not the #1 team in the poll. That honor belongs to Plattsburgh. Williams has completely dropped out and Utica continues to make a strong impression in the eyes of the fans and not the USCHO coaches though....The only team that kept their spot was Stevens Point, which is very surprising...

1.Plattsburgh (16).........11-0-2......178 pts.....2
2.Manhattanville (1)......10-1-1.......158 pts....3
3.Elmira (1)....................10-5-1.......149 pts....1
4.Stevens Point...............9-2-3........119 pts....4
5.Middlebury................... 7-2-0.......114 pts....7
6.Bowdoin......................5-3-1.........86 pts......8
7.Superior.......................10-2-1.......64 pts.....6
8.RPI..............................10-2-2.......53 pts......5
9.Utica............................9-3-1.........43 pts......10
10.St. Thomas.................8-4-1........19 pts......9

Honerable Mentions: Williams 5 pts, RIT 2 pts

At the very least, I'll switch them with Superior....sounds like the Pointers should have stayed east!
