No real upsets this week so I am going to stand pat on my rankings from last week:
Elmira / Plattsburgh / Manhattanville / Superior / RPI / Bowdoin / Middlebury / Stevens point / St Thomas / Williams. However, it was one of those weeks where you get the uncomfortable feeling that wins and losses may not tell the whole story. Winning two one-goal games against Southern Maine is a less than impressive performance for RPI - maybe they just play better against stronger opposition, but if they really are a top - 5 team they shouldn't have had a scare from Southern Maine two days in a row. And Bowdoin chalked up another loss to their very unimpressive record, but on the other hand it looks like they went toe-to-toe with Clarkson in terms of shots on net.

1. Elmira-Stats are impressive, both offense & defense.
2. Plattsburgh-Showdown with Elmira would be fun to see.
3. Manhattanville-Solid team with good wins.
4. UW-Superior-May have the hottest goalie in D-III,
8 shut-outs in 10 games with the last two against St.
Thomas. Leading scorer Kegley did not play in the last
St. Thomas game & will miss River Falls series due to
mononucleosis.
5. UW-Stevens Point-Looking forward to Middlebury Tournament
to see how Point matches up against strong eastern teams.
6. Rensselaer-RPI has played well against D-I, tied Clarkson
(though badly outshot) who beat Elmira.
7. Bowdoin-won at Middlebury & only lost to high rated teams.
8. Middlebury-Their own tournament will be a good test.
9. Utica-Looks tough, tied Bowdoin & only loses against
Plattsburgh & RPI.
10. St. Thomas-tied Stevens Point & is best in the MIAC.

just an update here to clear suspicions up that the womens fan poll is dying....ITS NOT...lol

There were hardly any games the last few weekends so i just decided to wait until after Sunday January 11th when a good share of the teams have started to get back into action and after that mamouth Middlebury Tournament and some more of the western teams making the trip out East for some games.....Should be a very interesting welcome back poll as im sure there will be some major shakeups with the games that are going to take place!
