Good job sportsfan...switch your 9 & 10 teams and you have this weeks actual poll!!!

No pat on the back from me Sportsfan. I figure the objective here is not to come up with a ranking that is close to the official rankings. If anything, I like to see some distinct differences that show that you are not just following the crowd. In the end, the real test is to see who was the first to clue in to a ranking that is close to how the teams end up at the end of the year. Sometimes that means going out on a limb, doing the research, and making some picks that surprise people. Sometimes it works, sometimes it makes you look like an idiot. Before the season started, I made two picks that raised some eyebrows...I was maybe the only person who dropped Bowdoin out of the top ten (that is starting to look like a stinker), and one of the first to rank Superior high. The latter is looking pretty good so far, but if they loose to St. Thomas this week I might just slink away.

I did the same with Bowdoin, but looking at their first two games it appears they have filled the holes vacated by last years graduating seniors.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
POLL

1 - Elmira - Jan 7-11 will show their true colors
2 - UWSP - played all good teams so far this season
3 - Plattsburg - great record

6 - Bowdoin - beat Middlebury & Williams
7 - Middlebury - lost to Bowdoin
8 - St Thomas - still top team in Minnesota
9 - Gustovus Adolphus - played all ranked teams

If I didn't know any better, I'd say you stole that line from Dr. Steven Coleman.

"That's my opinion, what's yours?!"

i hate that guy!!

the only thing that i have ever agreed with him on his his view of the Elmira Jackals UHL team...he bashes them calling them the Elmira Barbarians for their on-ice and off-ice antics over the past few seasons....I have never liked the Jackals and never will because they took away all our loyal EC fans!

Note: The opinions and views expressed by purple_and_gold10 in his commentary do not necessarily reflect those of Newschannel 36, errr..... all hockey fans that root for an Elmira team. :p :D

That being said, I agree with him about half the time but seldom watch WENY news. WETM RULES!!!!!
