Is there really such a thing as an "eastern bias"? ;) Superior should not be considered as a #2 at this time. The Ladyjackets are a young team that can shoot with the best and have great goaltending/team defense. From penalty minutes stats, they appear to play an aggressive style. Combination of Elmira toughness and Middlebury finese? Time will tell.
Good win by Middlebury over Plattsburgh, though would expect Plattsburgh to return the favor on home ice. Utica/Elmira games gutty and close. Stevens Point rebounds but could not come out with a sweep of good River Falls team. Superior holds a 3 point lead in NCHA with two more shut-outs (total 10 on the season). Interested to see how Gustavus does on eastern trip, could challenge St. Thomas in MIAC during conference tournament.

2cards is correct that the game is next tuesday but if it was tommorow the answer is NO...A good rule of thumb that the weekday games wil be counted as the next week....

Its hard to tell...i think they're definitely is an eastern bias just because you all play eachother and there aren't many good teams over here. Superior has beat all the top teams in the West, beat them pretty solidly too....swept point badly, split with River Falls, swept and shut out st. thomas. if you look at how badly we beat Point, and look at how they did against the teams out east..from that comparison i think Superior ranks high. Unfortunately Superior can't go out east yet. The students voted in a referendum at UWS last year that raised the athletic budget by about 300,000 dollars. Hopefully that will go to the benefit of all teams and not just to fund a trip east for the mens team.
Superior is young..and if we're able to hold onto all of our players for a ch ange....we could rule d3 for the next couple of years.
