Too early to tell. Appleton looks good to lead the pack. Overall not as strong as years past. In particular not as physical. It will be interesting to see how this team looks later in the season.

Game update for Proctor:

W on Friday (12/2) Proctor (8) vs. Woodstock Youth Hockey (0)

W on Saturday (12/3) Proctor (5) vs. Vertmont Academy (0)

Note: Proctor team has a strong set of forwards (good skills set, aggressive and good view of the ice) and the defense is young but quick to cause and jump on turn overs to set up a fast breakout! Our Goalie is making the saves when needed!

Taft over Troy Ice Cats. 5-1. Don't know what to make of this other than Taft scored almost as many goals as all of last year.

Caught the Berkshire Taft game (2nd & 3rd). 4-2 Berkshire. A lot closer than the score. Berkshire scored with less than a minute to seal the deal. Not real sure what to make of these two teams. Berkshire may not be as good or Taft may be better than all the talk.

Very impressed with K Wallace and Ali Edell of Berkshire. A Wiater and S Sisk of Taft. Best two all night were Edell and Wiater.

Edell was all over the ice and in the face of Taft. Showed good puck sense. Wiater was very physical in her zone and had good poise with the puck in directing the attack.

I like Waiter as well - good, steady defenseman. I haven't been able to catch Ryabkina play. I've heard secondhand that she doesn't pass the puck much and tries to do it all on her own. If that's true, then all I can say is I've had my fill of that type of play while watching women's hockey over the years. But, again, to be fair, I've only heard that secondhand. I've think that she is playing for the Polarbears as well, so if that's true, I'll watch her at nationals.

Ryabkinz is a big strong kid who appears to have a nose for the puck. IMHO once she gets a feel for the US game she will be a major force. I agree on Waiter. I have seen her play now a couple of times and she seems stronger each time I have seen her. She is definetly a solid D but I would to see her jump up in the play a bit more. She might be someone who takes time to develop.

Proctor scores:

12/7 Proctor (3) vs New Hampton (1)
12/9 Proctor vs. KUA (Cancelled due to weather)
12/10 Proctor (6) vs St. Thomas Aquinas (2)

Last two games for Proctor have been wins but the team( 5on5) has been one dimensional in its attack, not enough passing and no enought use of the point! Power play and Power play kill have been outstanding! Goalie has seen a lot more quality shots on net in the past two games but has played above the challenge! Lead Scorers: (11) Sara Paulshock, (8) Carla Little, (9) Erin Davey (C). Defense has kept the rebounds to a minimum and that has reflected in the goals against!
:)

It is great that the Polar Bears have qualified for the Nationals .I want to congratulate them and wish them all the best at Nationals.

In the one game I saw Raybinka play she did not pass the puck at all.She actually stole the puck from a def. who was is the middle of taking a slap shot.Numerous times on 2v1 if she had passed it probably results in a goal.
