Has anyone heard anything about any progress being made by the ECAC as a league to sway it`s non play up school members to oppose this legislation?

jstadts,
The answer is "no", but which ECAC are you talking about? The ECAC hockey league has four DIII members and clearly three are against the Proposal while Union's arms have undoubtedly been twisted. The amorphous overall ECAC is so disorganized that I wouldn't expect anything to help there.

Does anyone really think any of the Ivy League schools would rally to the cause?? If so , call me about a great deal I can get for you on some land I know of.

What i was trying to ask is ..as an entire 250 or so school "athletic confrence" is the ECAC commissioner making any progress swaying in our favor the DIII confrence schools that aren`t clearly against us.

A better question to ask: Is the ECAC Commissioner even trying to do anything about this??? I have not heard a peep out of that bunch and it would not surprise me if they have just turned a blind eye to the whole mess.

How your vendetta against anyone who makes more money than you do applies to the D-III scholarship issue is beyond me.

Yo.....Ms. "Money" Jackson....you getting yours...so why not pay the other women on campus....the women hockey players want the cash and free ride too. Free the RPI women from the chains of Canadian chauvism. It's the 21st Century. kash

Kash,
I realize that I can't hope for you to be consistant, but I am curious as to what your answer to the following is. You have been babbling since the summer that RPI as a DIII school should not be allowed to offer scholarships to its DI men's hockey team. Now you are saying that they should offer athletic aid to their women's team. How do you reconcile those two statements?

I add that I think that RPI should raise their women's team to DI along with the men's team, a perfectly consistant state of affairs and offer athletic aid to both.

Kash, you couldn't even spell the word you seem most obsessed with when you created your handle. Do us all a favor and shut up. You are depriving some poor village of a perfectly good idiot. You are like and unsharpened pencil. You have no point. Your arguments are as impotent as Bob Dole before Viagra. Why don't you really learn college hockey from the ground up before you make outlandish comments? Does anyone else want to add to this rant?

Here's another avenue for communicating your feelings. Pease check out the following website: http://www.stopprop65.com/,
set-up by the 8 affected schools.

I've already e-mailed Dr. Brand. The format is such that you can add to the template as you see fit. Let's get those e-mails going.

Merry Christmas, everybody.

Muskieman,

Thanks for the link. I had already sent the postcard that RPI supplied to its Alumni to Dr Brand, but it doesn't hurt to spam him a bit.

BTW, the dumb VB software keeps extraneous punctuation inside of links unless you manually move it. The link should be http://www.stopprop65.com/.

..let's petition RPI's highest paid college prez...Ms "Show me the Money"Jackson...her board just hired the #2 guy from Goldman Sachs to run the NYStock Exchange!!! Calpers is SUING Goldman Sachs for shafting big and small investors...so why hire the fox to guard the hen house. Cult-like Goldman Sachs has a huge floor broker biz designed to feed info to their "upstairs operation". Thain personally owns $300 million of goldman stock....sort of a conflict of interest. The RPI student newspaper and the RPI professors of business ethics should ask Ms Jackson to explain her vote and the boards decision!!!...did she just rubber-stamp John Reed's decision in hopes of more gravy board seats!!!! kash
