Petition against DivIII changes

I have just signed and forwarded to my nephew in Atlanta who has some contacts with the Atlanta Thrashers. Also a lover of all Ice Hockey endeavors. Maybe he can pass it along to the Pro community.
I would like to see some of these schools Alum's signatures on this petition.

Idea: If you graduated from a DIII school, call and e-mail your athletic directors and tell them to put pressure on the president/chancellor of your schools to oppose this.

Good to see CC getting in on the action. There aren't many CC posters on this board it seems. Hope to bring them into this in a big way too!

BTW - How does this petition get into the hands of those who need to see it. It makes me feel good to see it grow but if noone sees it ...???

I expect it won't do any good, but I applaud those who are making the effort. I'm not a fan of the four effected schools (though I am a fan of D-1 hockey in general), but this is one issue where most can agree...THIS IS WRONG AND IT MUST BE STOPPED..

There were serveral comments earlier on why this was being done if it only affected four schools, but that is only for hockey, There are other DIII schools who play up in DI in other sports (soccer, volleyball, etc.). Just thought I would clarify that for people.

Also as of 3:30 eastern time there are 470 signitures and growing fast so word is getting out there.

I have not. I may- I think on balance I'm against it, though if it is needed to get the other proposals passed I'm for it. But what holds me up is the 'yahoo factor'...

I was #650 something. As a CC fan, this is VERY bad news. Their hockey program brings in a lot of students to the school, and lots of big bucks too. They’re screwed is the NCAA decides to keep going with this very bad move. :mad:
