Mich totally carrying the play...

all 5 gophers standing around the net... I think they're asking for a screen or deflection off themselves... just my speculation..

it doesn't seem that Minny is even touching the puck except to clear the zone... 5:30 left and a commercial break

I've gotta comment on these announcers. THESE ANNOUNCERS SUCK!!! How many timese do they plan on telling us that Potulny is the first player in the last ten years from outside of MN. In fact, he's from just across the Red River.....

Get some new announcers, ones that aren't monotoned idiots! Bring back the Wooger! He may be a homer, but at least he's knowledgable and entertaining to listen to.

BTW, the local channel 9 is doing a Wild preview show. They just did a rip-off of the opening scene from Slap Shot. :D :D

Despite whining to the contrary, I'm glad we actually have some people announcing this game with college hockey background. Sean McDonough used to do college games back on NESN but is best known for his work at CBS, ESPN, the Olympics, and the voice of the Red Sox. Bob Norton also does games regularly and has an extensive college hockey broadcast and recruiting resume.

I've actually been quite pleased with the choice as they aren't condenscending like past ESPN broadcasts and have a genuine appreciation and knowledge of the college game.

Please keep in mind I am a educated UNHer... unlike some of the posters on the board so please don't classify us all as dumb or whatever! ;)

Cheers mates! (listing to Irish music momentarily)
