"It is too early to predict the long-term outcome regarding a return to playing hockey. However, I am confident that he will lead a normal life."
One of the best things I've read in a long time! Let Joe drop the puck!

This was great news to hear!
As for Joe dropping the puck, I would love to see that also. However, I don't know how well he is going to be able to travel, and I believe the Merrimack banquet is next Friday night, and I'd imagine he'd be there if possible (and if that's not possible, getting to Buffalo's probably out of the question). So, he'd probably have to leave either late Friday, or very early Saturday (this is assuming driving times - don't know about flying).
So, while it would be awesome to see him drop the puck, I would get my hopes too high.
Keep at it Joey! We're all behind you!

Joe, a big thumbs-up from this quarter; it appears all of our prayers and hopes have begun to be answered.
I know your doctors won't let you rush it, and don't. Get well, get back to school, and get your degree. Enjoy your life.

Joe.... I still have my ribbon from the HE Semis and Finals at the FleetCenter. You were, and still are, in the forefront of hockey fans' thoughts and prayers everywhere. It sure was great to hear that you were able to go home. Keep up the great progress!!! :D

HEY BOSTON AREA PEOPLE!!!!!!!
WCVB's (Channel 5) Mike Dowling recently recorded an interview with Joe. It'll be airing tonight at 6pm , perhaps at 11pm as well. They previewed the interview during the 5 o'clock news and Joe is looking good and healthy.
WAY TO GO JOE!!
