Gionta is playing now against Pittsburgh. Hopefully he'll last the game. (Turner Stevenson is also back with Berglund the odd man out.)

What is the status of Krys (as he was known at BC) Kolanos? Chuck Kobasew?

Kolanos is still out w/ I think... post-concussion syndrome... phoenix is looking for him to return next season...

Kobasew is w/ the Saint John Flames of the AHL... he started the season up w/ Calgary, but w/ the coaching change, Chuck fell out of favor w/ the new guy... Sutter?

Marty McInnis got his 3rd career hat-trick tonight against the New York Islanders in the Bruins 4-1 win over NY.

Gionta unleashed his slap shot twice and was rewarded. He tied it at 2 4:25 into the second period and put the Devils ahead with his 10th goal about 12 minutes later. He was briefly slowed in the third period when Eric Cairns slashed him in the arm for New York's only penalty.

That was nothing compared to what Gionta has already come back from. He missed 19 games after breaking his right leg in January.

"I'm starting to feel more comfortable with every game," Gionta said. "I'm just going out there, working hard and trying to get the timing back."

Just saw the replay of Gionta's 2 goals and they were shot from the exact same place. If I didn't know better I would say they were showing the same goal twice.

I now know why the rangers dealt Mottau.....

Feb 20, rangers get: Cory Larose, C

clearly couldn't have these two on the same team :D rangers D is bad enough, don't need Larose trying to hook Mottau down all the time.

I can't believe I didn't catch that... I knew Mottau was traded to Calgary, but I didn't notice it was for Larose...

Well, at least the Blueshirts have Brian Leetch... :)

it was two separate trades, mottau was dealt in january... but it was certainly paving the way for them to go hard after Larose :D

That was a nice goal, it was on ESPN. One of the few tidbits of hockey I have been able to catch being in Indianapolis for the week :(

Clemmensen was called up to backup Brodeur tonight as Schwab has a shoulder injury. No idea if Brodeur caused the injury to Schwab after learning that Schwab was going to be given tomorrow night's start. Clem fans might want to check tomorrow's game in case they decide to give him the game and rest Marty anyway (if the Devils lose tonight, don't bother as he is going for another wins record).
