not sure exactly sure when that would happen if at all ...
but from the newspaper article yesterday 12/13/02
Edmond Sun Paper...

Oklahoma will introduce ice hockey as its newest club sport next fall. (2003-2004) Craig McAlister will be the Sooners' first head coach, Larry Donavan will be assistant coach.

The team will have up to 25 players. The Sooners will begin practice in Sept. 2003, and open their season the following month.
Oklahoma will join the American Collegiate Hockey Association, a large league of club teams that include fellow Big XII Conference memebers Iowa State and Colorado.
What is known OU will play its home games at the Blazers Ice Center (practice facility for the minor league OKC Blazers in Central Hockey League) and that the team is already drawing interest.
Donavan expects most players to coem from Oklahoma and the Dallas area. though its website at :
www.icehockey.ou.edu
could produce even more interest.

Head Coach - Craig McAlister
Has achieved USA Hockey's Master Coaching education Level. Is currently the Associate Coach in Chief of the Rocky Mountian District with USA Hockey. Has been actively involved in the Rocky Mountain District Player Development camps as well as coached in several USA Hockey Select Festivals. He has also coached at the Chicago Showcase three times for Team Southwest. Craig was a 2 time MCHL first team all-star and was a team captian 3 times while attending Ohio University as an undergraduate. He helped lead Ohio to 2 straight MCHL titles.

The main thing on the web site at this time appears to be a recruiting questionaire.
