Having a ACHA div 3 team go NCAA varsity is almost impossible.. That would take years to develope into even an ok team. Winning the ACHA div 3 national championship isnt too tough of a task. Just take a look at the teams in the league and youll see what i mean. THere isnt a single Div 1 caliper player in the entire league.

If they were to go varsity. They wouldn't just take the club players and make them varsity players. They would get rid of the whole team and recruit, and get transfer players from other universities.
There are some good hockey players in ACHA club hockey, but not many of them have the skills to play at a D1 varsity level. The top shelf players in the ACHA are usually Jr. A players that didn't get ride to a school. The rest is compiled of travel players and high school players, most of which do not have skills to play D1 or D3 for that matter.
