Jen,

Last I heard, Scott Ricci had signed with Binghamton in the AHL.

Is Belanger still with Adirondack?

Rich: He played for Binghamton on Sunday, but the rosters are supposedly current as of Monday (I think they might be wrong in Ricci's case - otherwise they just still list him, as a called up player). Belanger is indeed still there (man, he's been around forever).

Thanks, jen. I figured there'd be plenty of guys I didn't recognize... you're good at this. :)

Here's what I know, mostly about Adirondack.

Ricci was called up to Binghamton. They needed some D-men there in a pinch. He will probally get sent down again pretty quickly though. The Adirondack coach said he wasn't expecting him back this weekend though.

Belanger is indeed awesome. The fans literally cheer as soon as he comes over the boards. I think he just took back the league lead in points. Here's a picture from their website. You can't see the puck, but check out the water bottle.

Schmidt and Blais are towards the bottom of the defenseman depth chart at the moment, but aren't looking too badly. Patterson has been a very hard nosed player for them, and hasn't been too bad with the puck either.

Galligan hasn't seen much playing time, he was acquired after the team cut somebody, and needed someone to skate immediatly.

Wolfe is the backup goalie, and one of the only rookie goalies in the league. He did have a very nice game last weekend though, earning the win over Port Huron, and the first star of the game honors.

Ruid had an early offensive slump, now is on a new line, and seems to be picking things up again.

From other teams...
Elmira.
Last game they had was pretty fight filled. What I really remember was Symington nearly getting into a brawl with the other goalie after they were playing "catch" as the ref was sorting out some other penalties. Evidently the other guy was making fun of him. He went in the other goalies direction after the game, but refs broke it up. I know Stewart is not well liked, something about ending someones career with an illegal hit years ago.

Dissapointed to see that Mackenzie of Port Huron is a Colgate alumnus. As I was browsing this list, I was thinking to myself "What school did that ********* MAckenzie go to?" I'm still picking my jaw up off the floor. He was the UHL player of the month for October, but at a game last week, I was unfortunate enough to see him disobeying arena protocol by trying to come out onto the ice before the home team had been introduced. An arena security guard actually tried to stop him, and got pretty much thrown out of the way and then manhandled once he was on the ground. Disgusting to say the least.

Some news from Adirondack.

- Tonight was Hugo Belanger night. The mayor issued an official proclaimation making today Hugo Belanger day in Glens Falls. He was honored with a ten minute pregame cerimony, and given the teams MVP award after the game.

- Jason Wolfe of Merrimack got rookie of the year, and most involved with community service.

.

it didnt take wolfe long to capture the number one job, as to date has appeared in 49 games, with a .904 save percentage and the only goalie on the roster to last the entire year.

also jeff reynaert of western michigan plays for Quad City and was named goalie of month last month.

brian regan (UMASS-Amherst) plays for Missouri and was goalie of week

cam mcCormick (lowell) is now listed on elmira's roster.

I believe that's the 4th team this year now for Cam.

San Diego (WCHL) 1 game
Florida (ECHL) 17 games
Flint (UHL) 2 games
and now Elmira (UHL) 1 game

McCorrmick has been dressing for Elmira while Symington (SLU) has been up in Binghamton. However, their coach doesn't seem too interested in putting him in.

Wolfe had an amazing season. He gave the IceHawks their all when they really needed it.

Saw Missouri vs. Kazoo this weekend, however neither Alban (Kazoo) nor Regan (Missouri) were in net. Some guys that played: Anthony Cappelletti (UML), Pat O'Leary (Minn), Charlie Blyth (Amherst College), Joe Ritson (DU), Dustin Whitecotton (Miami). Erik Wendell was on the Missouri roster, but I don't remember if he played. Ritson had a great game - 2 G, not sure how many assists. Whitecotton was also awesome - he had a bunch of points and was one of the quickest guys on the team.
