i'd declare allegiance to her and UNH women's hockey any day.
graphn doesnt look that attractive in the picture, but I have noticed those mug shots dont do some of them justice at all. The other backup goalie, busa or whatever looks like a hottie too.
If I ever run into the womens team, I'll let them know they have a BC admirer. I am serious too.

so Steve,
just out of curiousity, which ones of the BC fans were calling the UNH womens team white trash and other stuff like that at the mens game Saturday night?

It doesn't do most of them justice. I am a TA in the scene shop, and had Lindsey Hansen and Vicki Davis in my lab last spring. Both are plenty hot....especially Davis. I've also ran into Bourdon, Clement, and Wright-Ward in the shop this year, and all three look good.

A 2-1 win for the Wildcats on Senior Day.
Goals by Jones and Hekle.
Grahn played in goal.
Good luck to a great bunch of seniors.

UNH didn't look enthusiastic out there today, could be because they already clinched, but for most of the game BC was out playing them. Davis impressed in net for the Eagles, played a solid game.

UNH beats NU 2-0 in the last game of the regular season, both goals were within two mins of each other in the final 7 mins of the game. Wright-Ward from Jones and Edgar and Gordon from Paul and Hansen.

Just moving this thread to the top of the board for the HE finals this weekend. Am getting ready to come to Boston to cheer on the 'Cats. Hopefully it's a winning weekend - a fitting ending to great careers by the UNH Seniors. They have provided exciting and entertaining hockey over the past four years. Thanks Gordy, Eggy, Tommy, Janine, Deb, Jaime - you have left BIG skates for Coach Mac to fill!

I thought I would bring this thread back to life to comment on the UNH recruits.
Gibber,
In addition to the release justobservin posted from the UNH Women's Hockey website, there were some posts regarding Palazeti and Craig on the early signings thread back in the fall.
The posters were very complementary of Palazeti and a bit more tepid on Craig which could be a result of her getting a little less of the lime light on the Bluewater team in comparison to her teammates Agousta and Deluce.
Craig definitely has some offensive skill having been the leading scorer at the 2003 Prospects Tourney. Interestingly, she was followed in scoring by her linemate, and now future Wildcat, Jessica Zerafa, and another UNH recruit, Jen Hitchcock, was fifth in scoring at this same tournament.

Bringing this over from the UMass thread.

kay seemed to attract the talent before MN came along, but that changed. Now that Mccloskey is coach, he seems to be going in the same areas he was when he was assistant to the mens team ( illinois , onterio and the like). Last year was his first real class, so it still will take a few more years to see how his style of recruiting pays off.
Although I like the calibre of player McCloskey is bringing in, other than Palazeti it doesn't look like he is looking in many places. Three recruits are from NAHA and four are from the OWHA (see my post below). Other than Peters, not one incoming player is from New England.

Re: Leah Craig
Hockey people who had the occasion to watch Bluewater Hawks all winter will tell you that Craig is a player who makes everyone around her better. She loves to set up scoring opportunities as well as scoring herself. She works 100% of the time, whether she is in possession of the puck or not. This can't necessarily be said about the other Hawks mentioned in Moxie's post. If you are familiar with UNH's team the past couple of years, you might see Craig taking over Carolyn Gordon's role on the team. A more pressing problem for UNH to deal with than forwards, is replacing Thomas and Edgar - both defensively and offensively.
Leah Craig is a totally different player than Agosta for example.
Are you trying to imply that a player like Agosta doesn't make
players around her better. That's what it sounds like to me!!!!

Leah Craig IS a totally different player than Agosta. I take nothing away from Agosta, she is a prolific goal scorer at the Intermediate level, which I'm sure will translate into a prolific scorer at the next level. Craig, on the other hand, is a decent scorer, while still paying attention to other aspects of the game. For lack of a better categorization, Craig is a 'team player'. No disrespect intended to any Hawks (or fans!)

So I gotta ask..........are the men players afraid of power tools?
As a TA in the Scene Shop, I've noticed that there is a trend in how the hockey players (Men and Women) fulfill their Fine Arts gen-ed. The men tend to take Intro Theatre. The women take Stagecraft.
Two years ago I had Lindsay Hansen and Vicki Davis in lab. Last year, Melissa Bourdon, Shannon Clement, Sadie Wright-Ward, and Tracy True all took the class together. This semester Lindsey Caleo, Jennifer Hitchcock, Taylor Palazeti, and Jessica Zerafa are taking the class, and iirc either Nicole Goguen or Chantal Gauvin as well.
And yet Yandle, Callander, Barker, and Teplitsky all took Intro. Kolanos and another guy signed up for theatre history, I guess thinking it was another gimmee course, but dropped it the first day when they realized it was a tough class.

Add Jackie Wedster to the list. She added in today.

The women take Stagecraft.
uhhhhhh....if it's in the university catalog I think they are free to take it......those flats can be tough to deal with and then there's that nasty glue.....ask your department head to toughen it up!

Umm, me thinks you missed my point.
I'm NOT complaining that they take the class. I love it. I just think its funny that the women take Stagecraft, and play with power tools, while the guys take Intro Theatre. What's wrong guys? Afraid of power tools?
Believe me, I know all about flats and dealing with 'em.....and we use plain white Elmer's. Not too bad.
Actually, Lindsay Hansen was great in lab. Unlike a lot of students (any major), she was always willing to learn and do stuff. It was nice to be able to give her a project, and be certain it would get done, and done well.
