I think that was from SportsCenter a few years ago (Kenny Mayne?)..

I agree PC will be tough to beat. UNH may steal a point or two from them, but I'd be suprised if PC didn't finish first. I couldn't make it to the game on Sunday, and won't get a chance to see a women's game until the St. Lawrence games in November, those should be a good indicator early on of where they are as a team...

Stop behind the goal and say hi sometime, meet some new faces. :D

$7 for tickets now, friggin ridiculous, and we're one of the only teams that charge in womens hockey.

Grahn didn't look comfortable in net, on alot of saves she showed some poor form, Busa wasn't perfect either, but looked much more comfortable in net.

The reason they didn't score in the first 2 periods is that they were playing scatter-ball, everyone on the ice in white would go to where the puck was. Nobody was finishing their shots, they need to put atleast one person in front of the net, which they got around to doing in the third. Not very impressive, but hey, last years exhibition wasn't either and the season went well, I guess you can't read too much in to the game...

OK, so we don't know for sure whether our FR goalie will be able to play? So how do we look with the other two goalies? It looks like we have offensive ability and a strong defense?

As great as Jen Huggon was last year a lot was due to the very strong UNH defense in front of her and the team support she had.
This years goalies have the same athletic ability as Huggon and if they get the team support and great defense our goalie situation will be fine. The advantage we have in our goalies is size Busa is 5-9 and quick and Gahn not so tall but is also very athletic.

They play one shaky exhibition game and you're ready to call them as good as Huggon? Grahn looked like she came from Minnesota State, not Minnesota-Duluth.

Many people would say that last year Minnesota St. had the edge over UMD in goaltending.

I think you mean last week, not last year.

No, I mean last year. UMD 'tenders had a "slightly" stronger supporting cast.

Did anyone see the game. If so, how did the wildcats look?

The Cats left bright and early this morning for a two game series with UND. Any thoughts?? I guess probably that goaltending will tell the tale - does anyone know anything about UND?? You input is appreciated.

You might just want to look at their stats here on USCHO. My best guess would put UND near the bottom of the WCHA if they were to be in the league this season.

UND has enough talent on their first line of forwards and defence to compete with most teams in the league. In my opinion, they just don't have the depth to compete with a ranked team. I understand that UNH has some depth this year although I haven't seen it show up on the scoreboard yet. UNH stats show little or no points from last years point getters. This could be a breakout series for them.

From the "recruits" thread:

Courtney Flynn is going to UNH
and UNH has a tremendous forward from Calgary (name undisclosed).

Any predictions for St. Lawerence? Generally a tough opponent.

SLU wins 2-1 in OT, OT goal came with something like 14 seconds left. UNH had some good offense tonight, but Berrie was sensational, made alot of good, close saves. Good play by both teams. Lindsay Hansen went down during the 2nd period and had to be helped off the ice, it looked like she hit a rut in the ice and she was down for a long time and in ALOT of pain. She was gliding on one leg on the way out (gliding on her right if I remember right, injury to the left leg). Sunday should be interesting.

Looks as if Hansen is going to be done for a while :(
Awful lot of big names going down this season.

UNH wins 6-3. Berrie was doing good til the 2nd when she flew in to some turbulance, SLU dominated most of the third, but it just wasn't enough to make a come back. The Friends' had a post party which was attended by all the players, coach's baby is so **** adorable.
