A police officer on the scene just said that no arrests have been made at the Westin. However, WBZ is reporting that a piece of heavy construction equipment is removing manhole covers in the area. They are not sure why but believe it is related to the search of the hotel.

I work 4 blocks from the Westin. Sirens have been going on for the last 45 minutes or so. And then our building shook a couple of times. Very strange. A bunch of us ran outside. Maybe it was from all the vehicles blowing by. Don't know. I'm back at work.

WBZ has just reported that AP is saying a person was taken out of the Westin and that someone was injured. More Bomb Squad personnel have gone back into the Westin. Could just be rumors, but wanted to let everyone know.

Meanwhile, police officers converged on the Park Inn at Chestnut Hill in Newton, a Boston suburb. Newton police officer Russ Adam said the FBI was conducting an investigation at the hotel. A clerk at the hotel confirmed the agents were there but said he could not say anything more.

WCVB tv5 states that the terrorist cell in Springfield Mass were responsible for the attack on the USS Cole...

Furthermore, the Portland police found a car up there and have links to the recent attacks at the WTC... they took a Yarmouth ferry... and the white car, as well as the blue one, have been going back and forth on the pike between Logan and Springfield...

Unconfirmed reports that they are evacuating buildings around the Westin-Copley Hotel. WBZ is confirming that there is one arrest. New report just confirmed that the Boston Public Library is now being evacuated and a dog inside the Westin has picked up some kind of "scent".

On another note, it is being reported that Arab-Americans are being harassed and attacked at various sites around the US. I hope this isn't true, but it wouldn't surprise me with some of the groups we have in the US.

According to WHDH tv, they are considering the Westin hotel and surrounding are a crime scene. They've moved the spectators away and have stopped traffic, looks like they are putting up police tape to secure the area....
