Another year, another thread. :)

Check the Traverse City thread for guys that have been sent down to the AHL - I'll post them in here from now on, though.

The AHL opened its preseason schedule last weekend with Albany vs. Philadelphia - Patrick Sharp (UVM) had 2 goals for the Phantoms and Scott Clemmensen (BC) got the win, 5-4, for the Rats. Ben Stafford (Yale) also had a goal for Philly - couldn't find any more info on this game.

The following players are scheduled to be in training camp in Milwaukee, in addition to those previously mentioned (they're fill-ins until Milwaukee gets a full roster from Nashville... most already have contracts in a lower league):

Tom Rouleau (UML)
Steve Cygan (UAA)
Nick Angell (Minn)
Doug Teskey (UAA)

I can think of one player offhand that was in this situation a few years ago and ended up not only making the team, but also ended up with an NHL contract (and has since been traded, but still has an NHL contract). So it's not completely out of the question. Except for Doug Teskey, because Milwaukee already has their goalies set. :)

Rustyn Dolyny (MSU), Dustin Whitecotton (Miami), Andrew Allen (UVM) all signed with Grand Rapids.

Brad Tapper (RPI), Ben Simon (ND), Mark Hartigan (SCSU) and Joe DiPenta (BU) assigned to Chicago AHL.

Craig Murray (Mich) is in camp with Hamilton, in addition to the guys sent by the Oilers.

That is why I don't like USA Today. They were all sent the same day, but for some reason, they don't list Cavosie.

Steve Moore (Harvard) sent to Hershey (he's also injured - hip).
