Where did you get these opening day rosters? I have been following a no of teams and I don't recall seeing these.
Glenn - I looked through their official pages.
Some nice nights on Saturday for former collegians:
Mark Mowers, Craig Darby and Darren Haydar record 3 assists each. Jeff Farkas had 4 assists.
And not college-related, but interesting - Jason Spezza had 1g 2a in his pro debut against Bridgeport.
Gopher fans - Hartford is having a Ken Gernander bobblehead night this season. Make your plans now. ;)
Well, look who's on the front page of www.theahl.com, UNH fans. (and I'm sure I will hear it from RPI fans if I don't mention Brian Pothier is on there too, for his OT goal. ;))

4 assists, not too shabby :) (granted it was against a first year AHL team, but still).
First year AHL doesn't mean a whole lot, since every team has players that have never played together before at this point in the season. However, any team that lets Mitch Fritz score against them is of questionable talent. The box score on USA Today says Haydar only had 3 assists (as does the Milwaukee paper). I don't know which one is right.
Sort of old article about UW's Matt Hussey: http://penguins2.dfnow.com/Newsroom/TeamNews/Documents/09252002%20Matt%20Hussey.asp

No I know them being first year doesn't mean a heck of a lot.
But anyway, it's only mildly disappointing if they took an assist away from him for some reason. 3-point night ain't too shabby either :)
Just found this - Mike Weaver (MSU) did some movie reviews for atlantathrashers.com before he got sent to Chicago AHL. Check them out at http://www.atlantathrashers.com/Media_Zone/Multimedia/0,8795,3%7C1%7C0,00.html (I haven't listened to them yet, so I don't even know if they're worthwhile, but he seems like an entertaining guy).
Jeff Taffe has been called up to Phoenix - looks like they have a few injuries.

GWG in OT and 3 assists for Ray Giroux (Yale) last night as Albany wins (http://www.hockeysfuture.com/article.php?sid=5128&mode=threaded&order=0) its 1st, 4-3 over Norfolk.
WTG Ray!
Adam Hall (MSU) called up to Nashville.
Patrick Sharp (UVM) sent on the long journey to Philly AHL.
Tim Thomas (UVM) called up to Boston.
Matt Dzieduszycki (UNH) sent to Dayton ECHL from Syracuse.
Cleveland is in town tonight, with Niko Dimitrakos (Maine), Jim Fahey (NU), Ryan Kraft (Minn), Gregg Naumenko (UAA), among others.

Standing on a street corner somewhere.
He tried to stop a bus, but it went between his legs.

Worcester:
Eric Nicklaus - captain (UNH)
Eric Boguniecki (UNH)
Steve Dubinsky (Clarkson)
Aris Brimanis (BGSU)
Johnny Pohl (Minn)
Mark Rycroft (DU)
Jen, thanks for posting the whole list ... always interesting to see who makes it up and who doesn't.
No Jeff Panzer? ... he was on their website. Of course he moves so fast many people have never really seen him.
I note a couple ex-UND at the rosters you didn't have:
Mike Commodore - Cinci
Dane Jackson - Manchester
Tonight: Milwaukee 3, Cleveland 3 (yay tie!!)
For Milwaukee: Wyatt Smith (Minn), Bubba Berenzweig (Mich), Andrew Hutchinson (MSU), Bryan Lundbohm (UND), Greg Koehler (UML), Greg Classen (Merrimack), Darren Haydar (UNH).
Hutchinson had what I think was his first pro goal - a blast from near the blue line through a crowd. Nice shot. Berenzweig looked pretty good, but he didn't have many chances, but his skating and mobility looked improved. Lundbohm looked a little hesitant at times - he had a good chance in OT, but held on too long.
The rest did ok... except.. the story of the night, and #1 star of the game, Darren Haydar. Wow, he was great. He had an awesome backhander to tie it up at 2, great patience... just a great shot. He had some really nice plays defensively. Well deserving of the first star. He played left wing.
For Cleveland: Jesse Fibiger (UMD), Ryan Kraft (Minn), Jim Fahey and Graig Mischler (NU), Niko Dimitrakos (Maine), Gregg Naumenko (UAA), Scott Thomas (Clarkson). Willie Levesque (NU) did not play.
Fibiger was the most improved from last year's Barons - he looked a lot more confident on the ice and in his decisions. He had a great shot that was tipped in front of the net - he looked like a winger back there, just for a second. Didn't notice Mischler much, except that he had a full shield on - apparently he is recovering from a broken jaw. Naumenko did a good job, but was rather unorthodox. The aged Scott Thomas ;) had a lot of chances and played a good physical game. Kraft was awesome, as always, but he just couldn't finish any off tonight. He had some great moves on offense and did a good job on defense. Niko played well, very hard - he didn't get a lot of chances, but he kept skating hard. he got a lot of ice time, especially on the power play and in OT. More experience will help him a lot.
One of the best players for Cleveland was Jim Fahey. Incredibly smooth skater, very, very smart (a few rookie mistakes, but not many - he did let one pass get by him on at the point) - you wouldn't know he hadn't played at the pro level by watching him. He played very well and can only get better - if he keeps it up, he could easily be in ROY contention - if he stays in the AHL (a few think he's lined up for Jillson's spot - yes, he was THAT good). He's already an alternate captain.
Poobah: I can't believe I forgot Commie. Who could forget Commie??? (certainly not Alex Brooks - someone had to say it ;)) Panzer actually scored tonight.. I don't know why he wasn't listed, or maybe I just missed him. Dane Jackson is so old, my mind must have skipped over him. ;)
Attending the game tonight in Syracuse (vs Binghamton), I saw former Collegians
Josh Langfeld, Blake Bellefuile, Jason Spezza, Karl Goehring, Mike Pandolfo, and probably a few others that I forgot. Langefeld had a goal, Bellefuile had a goal, Spezza had a penalty or 2 and an assist, I think.
Edit: Spezza didn't play college hockey. For some reason, I always get the impression that he did play in college.
