Jeff Jillson scored two goals to help Boston come back and tie the New Jersey Devils in tonight's opener. I believe he scored the first goal and the game-tying goal.
And Marty Turco's off to a good start giving up one in Dallas' 4-1 victory.

Turco finally had a bad outing tonight as Dallas lost 4-3. Marty gave up all four goals and was pulled after the second period.
On the up side, Brendan Morrison notched his first goal of the season, and Mike Van Ryn had a pair of assists.
What a turn around season Van Ryn is already having. After struggling last season and being traded, as said in one of the newspaper articles, Van Ryn pretty much went from the bottom of the depth chart to the top. According to ESPN.com's game statistics, Van Ryn logged 26:26 ice time tonight for Florida, second to Jay Boumeester's 27 minutes. That is great to see!

After being a healthy scratch the first three games, Montreal has reassigned Mike Komisarek to Hamilton of the AHL.

Mike Knuble scored two goals last night to bring Boston back from a 3-1 deficit. He was named NHL.com's #1 Star of the Night. Knuble has three goals in Boston's last two games since reuniting with Joe Thornton and Glen Murray.
Jeff Jillson set up Sergei Samsonov in overtime for the game winner.

In support of Comrie
While free agent sits maybe local fans should redirect some of their frustration at unproductive Isbister

I don't think it's a matter of will Comrie go, it's more like when and where will he be traded. Reading those articles basically says they asked to be traded a month ago due to differences between Comrie and Kevin Lowe and now they are frustrated by the lack effort made by Lowe to trade him. This one is getting uglier by the day.

Kings interested in Comrie

When I read this headline, I thought, 'hey, that'd be cool if he played with Cammalleri.' But guess who is on the block for the Kings ...

Nice to see Mike have success. A genuine nice guy. His NHL career seems to be following the same pattern as his Michigan career. He was not a highly-thought of recruit, and didn't make an instant impact, but then later matured into an All-American player by the time he was a senior. A "diamond in the rough", as the article says.

And Jed scored his first career NHL goal a few nights ago, too. I'm not surprised he got called up. Anyone who had the pleasure of watching him at Michigan knows what a work-a-holic he is. He's full steam ahead from the opening faceoff to the last sound of the horn. He brings great leadership to the ice, too. Guys like him and Shouneyia may not have put up 70 points at U-M, but the difference they made on the ice in leadership was remarkable. There's a reason why Berenson called him his greatest captain ever.

Ward is still UM's highest-ever NHL draft pick, taken #5 overall in 1993. Knuble was an All-American and scored 38 goals as a senior in 1994-95. Knuble is also one of the nicest guys you could ever meet (I've never met Ward).
