Please don't stoop so low as to blame the fans like the UNH fans do. Granted he missed some calls in OT but the Schutte penalty was obvious. Minnesota was the better team, but not by much. Wish we could see these teams play a few more times.
Next year we can play the championship in Alfond!

Maine seniors shouldn't be crying they won the **** tournament back in 99'. It's not like they'll graduate accomplishing nothing.

Maine played tremendously considering they there were 18,000 fans cheering against them, and the ref wanted the home crowd to go home happy. Hauser is definitely the cheapest goaltender I've seen in a long time. Oh.....bitter kitty kat fan.......doesn't matter what you say because Maine has a classy team that played their hearts out, and knocked UNH out AGAIN. Maine fans know what a season the Black Bears have had, and the players will take their experiences of the last year, and become better people for it. Haydar and Hauser share the cheap shot award for this Frozen Four.

Never said Maine didn't play good. They did but not good enough!!
CONGRATS GOPHERS!!
By the way, had it been BU or BC or frigon Umass Amherst who beat UNH 7-2 I would root for them (or hockey east).

Maine played a terrific game. Nothing to be ashamed of tonight.
I'll sleep well this off-season with thoughts of the Black Bears ending the seasons of Harvard, BC, BU & UNH.

Bob I'll say it again. Minnesota was the better team tonight (barely). They had a great season and deserved the championship. Thanks to both teams for a fabulous game.

in ot, minne controlled the majority of the play. maine dumped the puck a lot and they do better when they push the attack. dump and run didn't work well for them at all.
minne's stick handling was much better in ot.
maine's passing was non-existent in ot. maine looked so tired and so spent.
hauser gets away with the cut to the feet. nice diving by maine, but it should have been a penalty.
dumb penalty on maine. obvious too. good call by ref, but he seemed to miss the obvious ones by hauser. hauser did the same thing earlier. how do they call it on maine and not the same thing on hauser earlier.
another as he sticks the stick intot he helmet of an attacker just passing by. he can really get away with alot. must know the ref. hauser is a goon. and i can't tell if he is much of a goalie. his team makes more saves than he does.
Don Lucia's quote at the end is priceless:
When asked "What was the one thing that made a difference for you winning?"
"Well, we were really outplayed by Maine in the third......
so they (minnesota players) changed their undergarments to get fresh." the reason for winning...
'CHANGING UNDERWEAR'
At least he's honest. Chaning underwear does a lot for me too.
All joking aside...CONGRATULATIONS GOPHERS. YOU DESERVE IT.
MAINE...YOU DESERVE IT, TOO.
THANK YOU FOR A GREAT END TO AN AMAZING SEASON!!

Great game for both teams, no doubt. But, man, Maine sure gets an F at the post game conference. Sound bad, except for Yeats, especially for seniors.
The trip was a good call.
